Hello everyone, I am helping a family friend fix up his 77 MG midget with a 1.5L. The car has been sitting partially taken apart for 4 years. The guy they had repairing this car disappeared. So I was asked to pick up the pieces. I was told it ran and drove fine 4 years ago. Everything I replaced was because it was damaged or missing. I will list it all below what I had to replace. Now I got it running but it wont rev up (gas pedal does nothing). And it feels, sounds, and smokes like its misfiring. Fuel is indeed reaching the carb (visble throught the clear filter installed. Any help would be appreciated.

List of parts I had to replace:

-spark plugs

-spark plug wires

- cap/rotor

- new battery

- oil change

- carburetor clean/gasket kit

98 XJ 2 door, I recently converted to H4 bulbs for the head lights, with the appropriate housing. Now when I turn on my night time lights the highbeam comes on instead. Any ideas? Thank you.

My parking brake handle book is slowly breaking away. Is there a replacement to this? I can't seem to find much online.

Hello fellow Mazda 3 owners. Im chasing an intermittent P0171 code on my moms 2013 Mazda 3 2.0L Sky Active (engine code 7). It usually comes on in the fall, stays till the warmer weather then clears itself till it gets cold again. There is no visible tears in the PCV, intake elbow, or air box. Nor are there any vaccum leaks present. An inspection of the sparkplugs confirms a lean mixture for sure. Without a smoke machine or a high end scanner I've hit a road block. Has anyone else ran into this issue? We have had the car for quite a while now. The vehicle performance is not compromised at all when the engine light is on. Any help or tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
