Dirty Glass - question

Tesla, glass roof, PPF bumper/hood/fender.

The wife drives 100 miles a day into a very dusty countryside. I wipe the bugs off her bumper daily with some quick detailer and microfiber. My question is what do to about the glass. Fill front to back glass on the car. I’ve been using glass cleaner 3-4 times a week on the windshield, and tend to skip the roof/back glass. But by the end of the week it’s just absolutely coated in dirt. Within 2 days the first is actually pretty heavy. Anyways, i want to make sure I’m doing this right without causing any long term damage. I want to almost daily the windshield, and then 2x a week the rest of the roof/back glass. I was thinking one of those waterless wash sprays would be the safest way to go? Or should i just let it collect all week until the foam cannon comes out on the weekend? I would rather not, but if its the safest, for the glass, then whatever,

Thanks

Do I buy?

This 5 day reddit poll will be how I decide if I am buying an eightsleep or not. I run my AC at 67 all night and saving money on my bill in the most expensive electric company in the US is my primary goal. My 1800 square foot house is around $1000 a month in the summer. Do I buy this thing or not? Worth it or not? Best night sleep ever? Thanks

Ebikes don't break laws, people break laws

I'm in California, and I don't know how it is where you live but ebikes are getting absolutely crushed here. Mostly they are getting crushed by the same people that say "guns don't kill people, people kill people."

Recently, in here in fresno ebikes were banned from the cal state fresno campus. I don't just mean, you can't ride them, I mean if they are locked up on a bike rack they are going to take it. they are blocking people from even walking them on campus.

I get it, the idiots with there 3000 watt bikes going 50mph is a really problem. And sadly, the anti-green people, that also say things like "guns don't kill people, people kill people" are all on board with restricting freedom on law abiding citizens. we have the people that don't like bikes and the people that do like bikes but not ebikes, against us. And all of these idiots want to throw he baby out with the bath water..

If people are so opposed to freedom, then maybe they need to move somewhere else that will protect them in their little authoritarian bubble.

rant over...

Help with foam cannon/ one bucket wash method

Hey,

I got a new car and decided one and for all, no more machine washes.

I am doing an OPT loaded foam cannon (no pressure washer, just the hand held foam cannon)
Then i am doing a 1 bucket with a bit of OPT with a multiple tower wipe down.
Then i am drying with towels.

I can’t seem to go fast enough. I foam the car up with a battery powered foamer,, then i go through 8-10 towels on a 1 bucket wipe down, but because i already have foam on the car then a bit of soap on the 1 bucket, i still have soap on the car.

Then i need to dry and i just cant seem to go fast enough for i have soapy water drying on the car.

Tips?

Thanks

As I'm sure many of us are aware and many of us ignore, many of these chemicals we work with every day are very dangerous for long term health. I dove deep into this and found how really bad some of these are.

After analysis 100s of products, I found that I believe are the safest chemicals. for my process.

**Wash**

- Foam cannon soap: Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam

- Bucket soap (weekly wash): plain Optimum No Rinse (ONR)

- Daily/touch-up spray: 1:10 diluted plain Optimum No Rinse (ONR)

**Paint protection**

- Annual base: Optimum Opti-Seal

- 4-6 week ceramic boost: Optimum Ultra Ceramic Seal (UCS)

- Day 3 gloss/beading topper (48hr after UCS): P&S Bead Maker

**Wheels / tires / trim**

- Wheel cleaner: P&S Brake Buster Non-Acid (or Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel)

- Wheel coating: Optimum UCS (same as paint Tier 2)

- Tire dressing + black trim restorer: 3D Trim Care #711

**Interior**

- All-purpose cleaner: Bilt Hamber Surfex HD

- Vinyl / dashboard UV: 303 Aerospace Protectant (this is the "dirtiest" product, but safest protector I can find. use the wipes to be safest)

- Routine surface wipe: WaterWipes

- Carpet stain backup: OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover

**Glass**

- Daily cleaner: Whole Foods 365 Unscented

- Quarterly deep-clean (uncoated only): ECOS Window Cleaner Vinegar

- Glass coating: Optimum UCS

**Decon / one-time prep**

- Clay bar: Bilt Hamber Auto-Clay Regular

- Clay lube: diluted ONR

- Panel wipe (pre-coating): Optimum Paint Prep

EDIT:

I used Claude coworker to help produce this list. Someone below requested the detailed info but i don’t want to take and chances of being wrong on one and getting sued. You can have Claude coworker help you find the products the best suit your needs. I used a mutli-agent workflow and sent 10 agents out to find at least 50 products from every product category. Then i sent a a swarm of agents out to collect SDS sheets and read product labels. I also had some agents email when needed to collect the data. I had a group of agents break out alll the data out and another group to check product reviews so we could avoid botique type products that no one has ever heard of that could be lying about their contents. The agents broke down the ingredients from all of the SDS and product labels for each product, and found these to have the least dangerous chemicals from each class. If using AI is offensive to you, please feel free to downvote and ignore this post and go wax your buggy and feed your horse..
