What is your ideal selection of disc types for a small bag round?

If you’re playing a round and can only bring 5 or so discs, what are absolute must-haves for you?

Not talking about specific disc models, just types (putting putter, stable mid, etc). Though please feel free to name the disc you use to fill a slot.

Multi-species fish kill and noxious odor reported on Middle Fork New River

This comes just days after the federal government rolled back regulations on dumping of toxic industrial wastewater. Folks, it’s time to get involved and go vote. Hammer your representatives with calls and emails telling them to grow a spine and take action. If you want future generations to enjoy our waterways and natural resources the way we have, something has to be done now.

Added space for patches to my bag

I’ve had this cheap Innova bag since I started playing. Always wished I could stick patches to it like the high end brand bags but didn’t want to drop $200+. Rigged up these velcro sections that had adhesive backing. Lots of heat and force and they seem to be glued on pretty securely.

Just wanted to share and see if any others have done something similar. Now I can finally show off all of my mediocre sports teams!

Tips for proper release timing?

Newer player of about a year, primarily RHBH thrower. I’ve made decent progress with my form and am starting to get shot shaping down and consistently get discs to fly more like I want them. However the one issue that plagues me is proper release timing. I’ll get some beautiful flights but often release a little early and miss wide left, or late and pull it right.

I frequently do field work and can get into a rhythm and start throwing straight, but on the course it’s easy habit to just start spraying again. Any general tips or mental queues to keep in mind?

Why are drivers from Trilogy brands typically so heavy?

I’ve become a big fan of a handful of Trilogy discs, particularly the Westside Underworld as well as the Lat 64 River and Explorer. One thing I’ve noticed though as a noodle armed thrower is it’s more difficult to find their drivers in my sweet spot weight range of the 160-165 grams compared to other brands.

Both at my local shop and on sites that list individual discs, their drivers seem extremely common in 170+ grams in base and premium plastic. They do make the lighter Opto/VIP Air plastic but these mostly seem more common in extremely low weight in the 140-150 grams range from what I can find.

Why do Trilogy (or house of discs I guess it is now) produce so few drivers in that 160-170 gram range?

The new Star stamp artwork is too cartoony and AI slop-ish. It feels like something geared more towards children and cheapens the appeal of discs in this plastic IMO. When I see them on a rack at the shop my initial subconscious thought is it’s a frisbee toy for kids or a baseline plastic, and many look nearly identical to the new stamps on their DX counterparts. Meanwhile the old stamp was such a clean and understated look, and that big star icon made it unmistakably Star.

In comparison I like how they updated the Champion stamps, they kept a similar look and layout but just modernized it. They should have done something similar with Star.

Playing for about a year now. Predominantly RHBH thrower but have some overlapping discs I bag just for FH feel (Crave, Toro, Teebird3). Any glaring issues/gaps or discs I’m missing out on and should try out? No repeat molds but plan to backfill some of these and narrow down the selection as they start to beat in.

My senior dog has always loved hiking but sadly her old legs just don’t have it in them anymore to do anything strenuous. Her heart is still willing because she loves getting out there, but her body just can’t keep up anymore. Anything over a mile round trip is pushing it depending on elevation gain, which also can’t be much.

It seems like so many hikes with big views require a similarly big effort to reach those views. Does anyone have recommendations for easier hikes or walks that still have great panoramic vistas so she can still enjoy her favorite thing to do? Also not trying to spot burn so if you’d rather DM me I’ll reciprocate the secrecy. Thanks!

Ordered table leg risers that were supposed to be 3”x3”. The risers I received were also labeled as that size but were actually much smaller.

Amazon states my review was rejected because it “wasn’t relevant to the product”, however my review is entirely about the product. Now I see why the item has a nearly perfect star rating…
