Tracking your car at boiling hot temperatures

I really wanted to use up my tires and EBC yellows so I took my GTI to a member driving day as a guest at Dominion Raceway. It was 100F (109 under the sun). Braking with my stock calipers weren't an input anymore; it was more of a suggestion. The good thing is that now I really know what a squishy brake feels like and how to manage it. In my last session, I overheated the engine and every single error come out on the dash. Of course I quit after that. New rule: never track your car when it's hotter than 90F. I also may invest in a popup tent.

Shenandoah Track at Summit Point is Brutal

Car: Stock '22 GTI

Run Group: Blue / Intermediate

Location: Summit point motor sports park, Shenandoah Track

This is my first ever HPDE day on this track. Still learning the layout. The car is completely stock except the EBC yellows and Motul 660 Brake fluid I added to able to survive the day without brakes fading. There are 22 Turns including its own "Karussell." It's like a mini Nurburgring.

Rain is Fun with Friends - Supra vs GTI

We have given 5 points-bys within 8 minutes. Rain can be safe and fun if no ego is involved. Dominion Raceway HPDE, Blue (intermediate) group.

I joined the GTI gang a couple weeks ago and took my stock '22 Autobahn GTI to the track. It was cold and raining, and the drifters that were there a couple days ago left lots of rubber and oils on the surface which produced Dove dish soap levels of traction in the rain. However, I still had fun with an experienced supra driver giving each other point-bys.
