New to area, Vancouver, WA. Any Plant suggestions to survive the Fall and Winter months?

I did some research and learned Hellebore and Heather and winter pansies, but can anyone make some other suggestions? How does lavender do, or calla lillys?

Country Recommendations for Europe, Dec 1-Dec 6. Could sway either Southern Spain/Portugal, or Christmas Markets, (Germany/Austria). Any input appreciated!

We have a wedding in Morocco from November 25th-30th and before returning home, we wanted to make an extended trip over to Europe before we head back to the states.

We are flying home to Portland, Oregon which has direct flights home from Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, and an easy flight home from either Spain or Portugal. so, not terrible return flights.

For our basic research we've done so far:

we are debating between either a sunnier trip; which would be Southern Spain (Seville, Granada, Malaga) or Portugal (Porto & Lisbon or maybe even Madeira)

OR The opposite,

A Christmas Market exploration, such as Germany (Nuremberg, Frankfurt, and Munich) or potentially even Austria. I know it will be wet but I'm looking for some use cases on if the weather is tolerable and still get some enjoyable vacation time with it being gloomy.

-We enjoy Food tours, Wine Tours, Hiking, and Historical Archeological sites, and culture seeking (like the xmas markets). we don't really care for Art/Churches/Flamenco culture all that much.

I know the weather is hit or miss all over europe so not asking to predict the weather, just if youve been, and have been able to enjoy yourself in one of these countries id love to hear about it. Southern Spain and Portugal we know we wont be able to do beach activities, but stuff we liked were exploring the castles and seeing the awesome sunsets and ocean views.

I also know that Winter in Germany and Austria has early sunsets, muggy weather and other possibilities. Will it be worthwhile to check that out?

I know i posted but it got removed for low effort, hopefully ive added enough context,

thanks in advance

Did I kill this Hop vine? Looking for some suggestions on how to help this vine excel going forward.

I went a little overboard while “trimming” this Hop Vine and am curious if yall think it’s dead/looking for some recommendations to help it thrive and grow. should I remove the dead wooden/extra vines? or leave it; let the cut vines wilt and pull them? looking for some help.
