I am getting a job of Scientific Assistant at ISRO, but I feel like I am overqualified for this. I want to apply for Scientist/Engineer SC posts at ISRO. Will I be allowed to do that if I accept this post?
The formula says find maximum s such that 5*10^-s is greater than the relative error. But that gives me 4 as the answer. But it is visually clear that 3.122 is approximating 3.123 correctly only upto the first 3 significant digits. How is it possible? Is the formula wrong?

We know sample variance divided by actual variance follows chi-squared distribution. But while finding confidence interval, we look at chi-squared (1-alpha/2) critical value and alpha/2 critical value. But why that specific interval? Why not shift the interval a little to the right or left as that will give the same confidence?
The delivery guy calls me, tells me he is at Mandakini. I leave the library to go to the hostel, but it takes me 10 minutes. He says he does not wait and tells me to get it tomorrow.
But I cannot afford to spend my entire day at the hostel because I have quizzes coming. Sometimes, I am at my department, sometimes at the library, sometimes at CRC, sometimes at some canteen. The security guards at Mandak also refuse to keep the order with them. I NEED 10 minutes to travel from wherever I am to Mandak, but the delivery drivers appear to be too busy to wait that long.
I just do not know how to get the order. Please don't tell me to ask a "friend" to get it. All my friends here also have similar lifestyles and do not spend 24 hours at the hostel.

I am applying for assistant professor position but it is asking for exam center preference. But I don't know where will I be during the exam. If the exam happens quickly (within a few months), then I will put center preferences accordingly or else I will just put my permanent home address for it.
I have been shortlisted for the interview, but the institute hasn't sent me any email, any call letter or nothing else. They haven't even said what documents I need to bring.
The instructions say we will be given a "reporting center" where we will have to go for document verification if we get shortlisted or waitlisted. I just wanted to know how these centers are assigned to students and how much time is given to reach these centers.
