High school transcript issue with unions

I did my schooling outside Canada, when I apply for unions, I’ll have to generate an equivalency report through ICAS. Stating what’s the Canadian equivalent for it. I graduated last year, but unions only need your high school transcripts. Has anyone dealt with this before? Cause ICAS takes 20weeks to make those reports which is like 5 months. Which is crazy

Looking to get my G3 via challenge method

I currently work in the pool industry, looking to see how HVAC feels like, I’m fairly young, so I want to see how other jobs feel like. I’m looking to get my G3. Start cold calling people and land a job as a helper, see how it feels, plus I’ll have work experience, only downside of challenging the exam is I won’t be able to go to school for G2, until I get certain work hours, I think it’s around (650). But that’s gonna motivate me to find a job and I’ll be able to get some idea of how HVAC feels like. I don’t have any time to waste, I can’t go to George brown cause the course is full plus any other school during the winter, example - Niagara trade school has a G3 & g2 course but there’s no OSAP for that. I got no savings to pay for school. It’ll cost me to challenge the exam but I can afford that. I’ll probably look to get a job during October, that’s when pools start closing.

What’s the smartest move here?

I’m a swimming pool tech, earning about 24/hr. The job ain’t too bad, pay is not gonna increase too much unless you know everything, to get to 35/hr it’ll take me 10 years. I’m looking to dive into HVAC. Just to try it out and see how it feels, what if I like it more than pools. Now the dilemma is, if I challenge g3 I’ll have to work for 700 odd hours before I can go to school for g2. I won’t be able to go to school without getting work experience. Other option is to do g3 & g2 schooling, but it’ll cost me 7-8k. I don’t have money to spend, I could take a loan but what if I challenge g3 and work for a while and see if I like it and if I don’t at least I did not spend 8k?

Thinking of switching to HVAC

I’m a pool technician with 3 years of experience, and I’m currently the supervisor of my crew. We handle pool openings, closings, service calls, plumbing, and equipment installs. I feel like if I started my own business, I could make a decent living from it.

At the same time, I’ve been thinking about HVAC. There’s definitely more demand and more job opportunities, but there’s also a lot more competition. With pools, the work is seasonal. Summer is extremely busy, especially during opening season, but winters can be slow. During the winter, you can end up sitting at home unless you find other work, and that can get depressing.

For HVAC, I’m thinking about challenging the exam to get my G3 and then finding a job. From what I understand, if you challenge the exam, you still need work hours before you can move up to G2 and continue schooling.

So now I’m wondering if I should try HVAC or just stick with pools.

If i stick with pools for 2 more years i'm definitely starting my own thing at that point, there's not much left to learn. Or i can try HVAC and if i dont like it , i come back to pools??

I have a samsung f23, dropped it, it kept turning off and on, on its own. Now it's off, I'm not tryna turn it on, the SIM card tray is clogged, I tried to open it with a toothpick, toothpick got stuck there lol. Now I'm not worried about the information in the phone, I'm worried about the SIM cards, will it damage the SIM cards if they stay in the phone? I have no idea how wet it is inside. I want a new phone but just want this phone to turn on so that I can backup data or something. Repair shop is a better option?

Have a job that doesn't pay me that great but its alright if your living solo. About 3k a month. Always wanted to get jacked, I know exactly what to do but it's kinda inconsistent to diet and shit. Have 0 friends, just moved to a new country, haven't dated in a while, feel like shit, not the most attractive guy, health issues, parents got no money, they are dependent on me. so almost got zero savings, idk what am I doing with my life. the job that I do, can make great money once you start your own thing, that's the only reason why I'm staying and learning at the job that I'm at. All my work buddies have good money, they go to other countries and enjoy for vacation, their parents are rich, at least richer than mine, I get 1 day off a week, don't have a car, travel via bus, its so hard to get anywhere. Never had a car my entire life, my parents couldn't afford one. Been fucking traveling in a bus my whole life!!! I hate it. If I find a girl cute, I don't approach cause they'll think who is this ugly creep. I don't like going to bars and don't like alcohol. Life just feels meaningless, why this fuck am I here? don't see any future, parents feel like a burden, cant make enough money, lonely af!! just want to die

Moved into a new room, saw 2 or 3 dried larvae skin on the carpet, vacuumed it well, person renting before me was super messy and wasnt clean. Maybe had a pet too, after about a 2 weeks of moving in I saw a carpet beetle on the window, I unalived it. No more larvae or no beetles, until I was vacuuming today and saw one under the bed where I don't usually go, the side of the bed closest to wall, same treatment like the first. Now I'm worried if there are more? The whole house has carpet, I see some gaps under the side walls of the room, I'm thinking to dust some DE there, want my room to be clean, I'm a minimalistic person, hate bugs.
