Helping settle an estate completely changed how I organize my own life

I spent the last two months helping my aunt settle my uncle is estate. They were organized people, but so much of the important information only existed in conversations they had together. We were not looking for missing documents as much as missing context. By the time everything was finished I realized I dont want my own family dealing with that someday. Has anyone else changed the way they organize things after helping someone else's family?

Where do you buy a mattress in LA without making it a whole thing?

I moved recently and my old mattress basically died in the process.

Now I need a new one but buying a mattress in LA feels more complicated than it should. Online is easy but risky. Stores let you try stuff but then there is the whole sales pitch problem.

Where would you buy a mattress in Los Angeles if the goal was low drama?

One emergency vet visit really changes how you look at pet insurance

One emergency vet visit and suddenly pet insurance starts looking a lot less optional. Emergency surgery can get insanely expensive, and even having a decent amount saved can disappear pretty fast. A lot of people seem to go with either pet insurance or an emergency fund. Has anyone here changed their mind about pet insurance after a big vet bill?

Are there any other alternatives to Noma Security?

We are currently evaluating AI security platforms for enterprise AI deployments and Noma Security keeps coming up.

The problem is that it is hard to tell what actually matters until AI agents are running in production. Prompt attacks are one thing, but governance, runtime visibility, and data exposure seem like the bigger concerns. Being able to track what agents are doing over time and explain their decisions is also important.

For anyone who has compared Noma Security alternatives, what did you end up caring about most?

When do you start thinking about design for manufacturability (DFM)?

I have been wondering when design for manufacturability (DFM) really becomes part of your workflow. For electrical products it feels like small design decisions can have a big impact on assembly BOMs testing and production later on.
Do you try to catch those issues during the first design reviews. Or are they usually picked up further down the engineering process? Id love to find out how different teams approach this.

What do pediatricians usually recommend for picky eaters?

Our four year old eats plenty of calories but has a very short list of foods he'll actually touch. We are waiting for our next pediatrician visit but I'm wondering what nutrition advice other families have been given before we go down a rabbit hole online.

Looking for the best online psychiatry service

Looking for a good online psychiatry service for medication management.

There are so many options that its hard to tell which ones are actually worth considering. Most reviews seem to say completely different things.

What matters most to me is being able to book follow ups easily get refills handled without a hassle and keep seeing the same provider over time.

If you have found an online psychiatry service that does those things well I would really appreciate your recommendations.
