Season 3 was WILD

I watched so much of Euphoria scenes on TikTok I finally decided to watch it.

I loved S1 & S2, the music was perfect, the scenes and the acting were seriously good.

S3 was like a completely different show. There were some great moments in it, but I found the whole religious arc quite odd. The music was vastly different (I know there was some beef between Labrinth and Sam Levinson), which really took you out of the show it was before and made it feel like a completely different show. Even how a lot of the filming was done felt different.

I still enjoyed it and it was sad the end but just felt like it was a very odd way to end the show.

Shoutout to Colman Domingo who’s acting was just fucking stellar

E bike lock suggestions

Hey all,

I got a new e bike (Pendleton somerby E) and I’m just checking for bike lock suggestions.

Mine is definitely the lower end of the e bikes I see around (most are on £2-3k bikes) but I certainly don’t want to leave anything to chance. I’m in West in an area quite bad for bike theft.

I’ve used a kryptonite kryptoflex cable and evolution D lock gold secure standard for years and always been ok, but I had a much cheaper bike before.

Any suggestions on whether this is good enough for likely to just make mine a target? I know all bike locks tbh can be broken but I guess it’s the level of deterrent.

Thanks

Hot Weather Walks

We are about to hit a heatwave today in London and most of the UK and wondered what others do during heatwaves?

We don’t tend to walk our pup (just turned 1) over 20c and between 15-19c we try keep to more shaded areas and less running round etc.

Our usual routine is:

8am (sniffy walk) 12pm (run play walk) 4-5pm (toilet break) 7pm (40mins - 1 hour walk) 10pm (toilet break before bed)

She’s quite a lazy girl so we adjust the times and activities based on how she is that day. We also live in a flat so we try give her as much outdoor space time as needed and plenty of play etc inside.

We won’t be able to do this because of the hot temps so we were planning on doing:

7-8am (run play walk for 40mins - 1 hour) 12pm (very short shaded toilet break outside our building) 5pm (another very short toilet break) 8pm or later, depending on temp (40mins - 1 hour walk) 10-11pm (toilet break before bed)

Does this seem ok? We’ve planned out where to take her the toilet and we’ve trained her to go this place on command which is usually shaded nearly all of the day and we will try keep her entertained in the flat and we have air con and all the frozen treats to keep her cool. All the walks she has will be when it’s 19c and under

Thanks for any advice!

Niagara in January

Hello! We are wanting to visit Niagara and Toronto in Jan.

We’d be flying from London around mid January, but we’re having trouble deciding on what order to do things. We’re either looking at Niagara first then Toronto or the opposite.

We know January has some big snowstorms, and we don’t know if we should go Toronto first (as we would be there for 5 nights opposed to the 2 in Niagara) in case of delays.

Are we being overly cautious or is this actually a smart move?

Thank you!

▲ 4 r/Wegovy

I’m new to Wegovy and on my 2nd low dose. I’m thinking about just doing it for a few months as I actually was losing quite steadily on my own. The first dose was ok, but this 2nd one is awful.

The nausea is so intense I’m struggling to drink and I’m getting chills. I’m on such a low dosage that I’m wondering if I should carry on given how strong a reaction I’m having.

Does anyone know how long the nausea lasts? I had my injection around 5 hours ago and I am sufferinggggg.

Will gladly accept all the hacks and advice. Thank youuuuuu

Where do I begin.

The trains seem old, the cafe is lacking, the seating is crap and the people are worse.

I took a London to Amsterdam train and I found that it took me the same time as a flight overall. The waiting area at St Pancras is TERRIBLE with its overcrowding.

The Amsterdam side is even worse and there’s barely any food options.

The first thing I noticed was how out of date the trains looked. They weren’t exactly clean either. The cafe has very little in terms of options which I was surprised given how long some of the journeys are.

Finally, the passengers. Most of them I found were rude, entitled and just a bit unpleasant. I’m not making some veiled comment about nationalities. I include allll passengers here UK and EU.

I know you can get the same in airports too of course, but I had bad experiences going out and in. I sat at a table (probably my fault) and both times the person opposite was kicking me. I’m so short that they really had to stretch their legs out. I found people were weirdly possessive over table space too.

I should preface I do long train journeys regularly around the UK and in Europe and I’ve never had these level of issues with seating. People were rude, kicking me, moving my stuff and generally unpleasant. I didn’t find the staff all that friendly either.

Overall, after considering the price and how much time the whole journey takes, it just doesn’t feel worth it to me and it’s a shame given the environmental cost planes have.

I wonder if I just got unlucky or anyone else has found this with Eurostar.
