I always love to chit chat with hotel employees. Some would want to to tell you how much they are making.

Bellman in a busy city would fetch at least 1.5K BND on tips alone! The general consensus is that they are making around 2k - 5k (salary + tips + incentives given by the hotel)

but fret not! Brunei METI and their Tourism Dept going to bring in "high valued tourists". These people are generous with their tips. Unless of course they are lying about these high valued tourists.

took 3 Ministers to launch this and i havent seen anyone using it even ONCE.

And I haven’t even explored it in its entirety.

From volcanoes and rice fields to local villages and bustling towns, temples, caves, beaches, waterfalls, and all kinds of unique wildlife.

And to top it all off, incredibly kind, open, and welcoming people throughout the country — children waving and saying hello, adults smiling and offering help wherever they can.

Indonesia (outside of Bali) seems underrated.

Why isnt BSM doing something about this?

Yes, I know these stations are owned by individual owners/companies/cooperatives, but why cant they enforce the rules of all shell station must ensure all the basics, such as air pump, TOILETS, must be working??

I was there seeing on how bad the infrastructure in KL.

There wasn't any LRT, the twin towers wasn't even there.

I used to prefer Singapore over Malaysia.

But now, I would rather do business in Malaysia than Singapore.

Yes, Singapore is more well matured but Malaysia has a lot more to offer.

Malaysia has not met their limit yet, much much more room to grow.

Brunei was once much richer than Malaysia. It is sad to see how the table has turned.

Malaysia managed to attract giants like google, Nvidia, Facebook, and the likes, to invest BILLIONS and provide jobs to their youths.

Heck, even Sarawak managed to attract a lot of investments into their state despite being in the "jungle" per se.

Brunei? Investors are running away from it like it is infested with plague.

There is only so much Brunei govt can lie about how "good" Brunei is. Investors ain't stupid. They will fact check.

Until then, good luck future generations, you guys are being punished by incompetent govt.

Brunei govt is still too busy with their meetings on which new rules and regulations they want to make next to ensure businesses in Brunei will suffer more.

They love to flex their tiny miny POWER to bully those people.

You want your payment to get thru? You must willing to serve them like a slave and do whatever things they "requested"

Brunei govt doesn't even care to pay us on time. The delay cost us tremendously.

We had to downsize and closed some of our companies due to the bullies practiced by the Brunei govt.

There is no one we could ask help from except from the Brunei govt, which in turn bully us more.

Not forgetting, Brunei govt loves to create stupid rules and regulations that makes life a living hell

It's not the British (they built Brunei and started free healthcare and free education)

Definitely not the Indians - one of hardworking people in Brunei

Chinese? They are clever people, they can generate their own wealth and sponsor Maulud Nabi for decades liao

But but, their supreme leader just bought a spanking new aeroplane that cost roughly 600-700 MILLION. He already have 2 aeroplanes too.

Cost of maintaining and operating these aeroplanes are around 100 million per year.

Cost of NEW airconds for the berakas dental health center is not more than 50k. And maintenance is less than 5k a year.
