Oldie, but a goldie

I have to say, it's a pretty simple design, but it's very fun and beautiful. It's a classic! I'd never pay €500 for the original so it's nice that the alt brick version is still around. Another great addtion to the collection.

Malibu Mansion

Wow, what a fantastic build. Tony Stark's mansion in Malibu with the Iron Man's workshop. Super fun to build and it's an amazing display piece. Came with light kits and they really make the place come alive. Lots of details both in the mansion and in the workshop. I recommend it for Marvel fans but also for fans who just like cool buildings.

Recent haul

Showing only the ones that came in nice designed boxes.

Mostly from barweer, it'll take a couple weeks to assemble all of these plus my backlog. I may be done for the year

Since fuel is so expensive, I just bought a gas station

It's the Cada C66026 Shell Gas Station.

The proportions are way off, the pumps are way too big and the space between pump 2 and 3 barely fits 1 car. BUT, it's still just a toy so it's fine. It'll still look nice in my brick city. Has a tiny car wash, everything designed with the tiny car they included. The 2 minifigs are cool, you can articulate their heads and hands, not just rotate them. That's nice I haven't had Cada minifigs yet. Printed pieces look nice, but not perfect. That's also fine, at least they're not stickers. The little deli is alright, not much to look at inside, but they did sprinkle in a couple shelves a fridge and a register. Basically has everything essential that you'd need from an IRL gas station.

Barely but i did manage to display 3 speed champions 8 wide cars (so no, those aren't included in the set), pretty cool display piece this was. And of course I have to mention the light kit, that has a usb connection and a few light functions. (Ignore the wonky way i installed it lol)

Overall I'm happy with it, I've been wanting a gas station set for a long time and the quality is great. Nice job Cada.

Definitely worth getting 2 D&D sets

The original design combined with the creator's alt build. It looks amazing imo. I 100% recommend sorting the pieces, which people do anyway, normally so do I. But this time I thought I'd just wing, opened every bag and left it sorted as is. It was a hassle finding pieces, lol. The end result speaks for itself though. Great design, lots of fun details, great creatures, cool characters (some added weirdos from other universes). If you haven't yet, get that 2nd D&D set. This is the beginning of my medieval town journey, can't wait to build the one's in the backlog to complete it

If my Lepin collection wasn't Lepin

There are 11 actual L sets sprinkled in there and a few alt design sets that are not on the list

For those who don't know, but are interested, it's Rebrickable. Not their main goal, but you can add your sets to keep track of them, your pieces, etc

Who could it be?

You know the sets are gonna be fun when they arrive in boxes instead of coke bags. Also.. who washed their red clothes with my sail barge instructions, cause every page is pink lmao, it looks kinda good.

And my backlog closet is officially.. problematic?

Combining 2 U-Wings

MOC-250967 by codyaner.bricks on Rebrickable.

It combines 2x 75399 U-Wings into a bigger one. If I'm honest, it's not as swooshable as the original design but as a display piece, it's much better. If the wings aren't locked into place, they're floppy. The bay window, doors and the rear hatch all open, but you have to be careful with them. I made the engines slightly bigger than the creator intended because i like it better this way. The MOC also includes a small cargo train to use to load the hauler. You can also see the pieces I started with and the leftorvers I ended up having. Overall a cool MOC and if you own 2 of these sets, I highly recommend building it.

Well this turned out weird..

Kidding! I got the AT-ST for this exact MOC, because I'm not a huge fan of the walker, but the Sith Infiltrator has been one of my favorite ships from Star Wars.

The instructions are from Rebrickable, made by CreationCaravan (Brad Barber). It only uses 850 pieces pieces so there's a lot of leftovers, but that's okay because i'll need them for my own project. The instructions are very nice and easily understandable. Simple really.

It's a great build, swooshable and a cool display piece (even though i have to make a ucs plaque sticker for it).

Awesome all the way through, if you have the UCS AT-ST, give this a try.

Luke's Snowspeeder

I originally didn't plan on buying this UCS Star Wars build, but i'm glad I did because I enjoyed the build quite a lot and looks way better in person than in pics imo. Nice display piece even though I wasn't a fan of the shape at first. No missing or faulty pieces, nice stickers and pretty good minifigs (basically 2 Luke figs with pilot and gunner helmets).

Please don't mind the oily fingerprints lol, it's so that it won't rust when it goes out on a Hoth mission.

You hear that music?

It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

Sand under your feet, scorching suns blazing down on you. Suddenly, you hear music, the closer you get, the louder it gets Doo-doo, doo-doo-doo... Doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo...

You enter the broken down building, a stench of alcohol hits you in the face, you pause. A group of smugglers, bounty hunters and strange creatures look at you. Once you keep walking, the music starts playing again and a bartender offers you an unrecognisable drink, which you're happy to take, after all, you're in Tatooine's own Mos Eisley Cantina.

The build was so fun, I didn't want it to end, so here I am reviewing it. Not much to say though honestly. Had a few beers, listened to some Cantina music and built this amazing set. I originally didn't want to get it, because i knew I'd want a whole Tatooine display, but that's unavoidable now. If you like Star Wars you probably already have this, you don't need me to tell you how great it is. But for those who don't have it in thei posession:

No missing pieces, quality is nice, except for the 1 dome piece that has either black paint on it, or it got splashed by hot black plastic while manufacturing. Doesn't bother me since the cantina isn't supposed to be pristine. Had a few stickers that look good. The main details of the build you can pretty much see in the pics. Subtle details you'll only get from building it and analyzing it.

Again, can't recommend it enough, even if you're not a Star Wars fan, but enjoy architecture or street building sets, this'll be fun. Alright enough sucking up to the Lego's design team.

Who needs two of anything, or..?

I blame the guy who mentioned the designer released a free alternate build on Rebrickable. I will not be taking any accountability for this impulse buy.

Jokes aside i'm so excited about these (2 Dungeons & Dragons sets in case someone's scratching their head). Once I finish the Mos Eisley Cantina (review today hopefully) I'll begin assembling these.

If anybody here has buit the alternate build from Rebrickable. Is there anything I should know? Other than having to sort the pieces.

Tantive IV Blockade Runner

From AliEx. Minifigs are okay, bags were numbered weird and had to be opened from the beginning. Around 1800 pieces so not terrible to sort. The build was fun, the technic pieces were a little difficult to navigate because of resistances (Rebel Scum!) but overall nice. A big problem for me were the few yellowish pieces. I personally keep my builds out of the sun so getting like 10 white pieces that yellowed because of the uv rays kinda sucks, will have to check if the seller is willing to make it right. Anyway, it's the Clone of 75244, same build and play functions. No missing pieces, so that's good. Couple bags were probably on the sun for a while, so that's likely inconsistent even within the batch, not an impossible thing to fix, but it's absolutely worth mentioning.

Finally! Mando's N1 Starfighter

Got it from AliEx for $66 from China to Europe. No missing or damaged pieces actually got quite a few extra bits with this one, stickers and printed UCS plaque. Printed manual that's easy to see and understand, some interesting build techniques but overall very fun and a great display piece. Only problem is Grogu's head mould is too loose and Din Djarin's print is kinda piexelated, but I don't care about the figs. I was very excited to get this one and I'm glad I did. Wrote this little review because I'm sure others want to pick this one up as well.

Few more sets from Ali

The LT. Beyta fig from the Ghost and Phantom set is so funny😭 The builds were nice. No problematic or missing pieces. Awesome sets that have been on my wishlist for a long time.

Fine additions to my collection

Both from Ali, no missing pieces and very fun builds, not too repetitive for me, but i did build the left and right sides of both the imperial shuttle's wings and the executor's top cover at the same time so i didn't really have to repeat much of the builds.

I know these have been around for a long time and now I'm happy they're part of my collection.

I'm expecting a few more sets, so you'll see a couple of my posts in the following weeks lol

Okay that's crazy

Just found this MOC on AE, cost $1500 and it's almost as tall as me. A guy actually left a review after like 3 months of building. I'm just curious if he's in this sub lol cause I'd love to see more of this build

Can you tell me if it sounds good?

Hi all. I know it's hard to tell how it sounds from this clip and all, but I appreciate any help. It's a 32.xxxkm YZF R1

u/WatIsLasagne — 3 months ago

I'm looking to buy either a 1999 YZF R1 or a 2001 YZF1000R Thunderace. Similar price, similar odometer and condition.

Both are carbs and I don't mind working on them. The comfort of the Thunderace would be nice, but the R1 is sportier which for me is just as important as comfort. Reliability-wise I'd think they're similar as well.

Also, could you point out a couple of issues to look out for before and after buying them?

Yamaha riders, please help me out!
