I finished watching Takopi’s Original Sin today. Episode 6 left me completely speechless for a while. I was just sitting there thinking, “What did I just watch?” Somehow, I found a part of myself in Takopi, Shizuka, Marina, Junya, and Azuma.
I was also a victim of my parents’ affair at one point.
This anime showed that no one is completely evil, and no one is completely good either. You can change the past, but you can never completely erase someone’s pain and suffering.
Takopi never truly changed Shizuka, Marina, or Azuma’s lives. Azuma’s mum still doesn’t give him pancakes, but he has made a lot of friends, and now he has people he can share his pain and struggles with.
Marina and Shizuka are still being abused by their parents, but now the two of them have become friends.
Takopi reset the timeline, and he sacrificed himself to make it happen.
I think that’s what Takopi was ultimately trying to tell us: some problems simply don’t have a solution. Some wounds can’t be erased, no matter how much we wish they could be. All we can do is keep moving forward, find people who understand us, share our pain with them, and somehow learn to live with the things that hurt us.
Maybe you can’t change someone’s past. Maybe you can’t save them from every bit of suffering. But sometimes, just having someone beside you is enough to make life a little more bearable.
And maybe that’s what it really means to keep living.

How much does a man’s hair matter when it comes to marriage?
English isn't my first language, so I translated this myself. If there are any mistakes, I'd really appreciate your understanding.
I'm a 20 -year-old university student, and I also work part-time. I have a younger sister who's six years younger than me. I love my family very much.
Over the years, though, I've started to feel like no one in my family truly likes me. They often make hurtful comments or mock me about different things.
Before I was born, my parents wanted their first child to be a daughter. Instead, I was born, and it feels like they've never completely let go of that disappointment. When my sister was born, they were overjoyed because she was the daughter they'd always wanted.
My sister is very beautiful, and it has always seemed to me that my parents love her more than they love me. I love my sister dearly, but she often body-shames me and makes cruel comments about my appearance. Those comments hurt more than she probably realises.
Yesterday, my mum said something that really broke me. She looked at me and said, "I wish I'd had another daughter."
My sister constantly makes fun of the way I look. My dad is always warm and affectionate towards her, but he's rarely like that with me. Sometimes it feels as if he doesn't love me at all. Not long ago, my mum also said that daughters truly love their parents, while sons don't understand what love is.
Growing up, I never really felt loved by my parents. Whenever they were stressed or frustrated, I often became the target of those emotions. I've lived with this for years. I've never argued with them or blamed them for any of it.
The hardest part is the feeling that they love my sister because she's beautiful, while I'm not. Whether that's actually true or not, that's how it has always felt to me, and it's something that causes me a great deal of emotional pain.
Even after everything, I don't hate my parents or my sister. I don't feel anger, resentment, or a desire for revenge. In my heart, I've already forgiven them.
I just want to know this, how do you cope when the people who hurt you the most are your own family?
