Does he look like a Shichon?
Our boy just turned 5 months old. The rescue said he’s a bichon shitzu mix. I definitely see the bichon but not so sure about the shitzu. What do you think?

My 5 year old daughter is doing half day kindergarten. Her first day was 8/27. It seems to only be getting worse with crying now starting before we leave the house, whole car ride and drop off. The teacher just told me every morning she cries and chants “I want my mom” and “I want to go home”. She has always been a highly sensitive child and struggles with anxiety, especially the separation from me. She did preschool 3 days a week for a few hours and never wanted to go but the crying stopped, but started up again at the end. Friday was the worst day with even physical refusal. Teacher acknowledges she struggles with transitions and when there are unknowns, but does better during quiet activities that are predictable and calm. I contemplated homeschool because I knew this would be hard, but then allowing me to do half day made me feel better this it all. Does this get better? She has struggled with emotions in the afternoons and is just so quiet since starting. Hurts my heart.
Let me start by saying before kids, we had a very healthy happy marriage. Together 5 years before bringing our first child into the world in 2020. He was gone a lot coaching and I later felt like I had resentment from that because he didn’t know our child at all it felt. 3 years later we had our second and I felt very depressed about returning to work. I was the ‘breadwinner’ but he supported me in the decision to become a stay at home mom, even though finances would be tight. I stopped working march 2024 and I feel like our marriage has dive bombed. The resentment builds up so much on my side. I feel like the kids emotions are insane and so dysregulated when he is home. He just does not have the patience to respond to them in those moments and has a hard time setting boundaries so they walk all over him. We have done couples therapy and have realized he has a hard time putting people first and is so focused on his own tasks he needs to check off the list. Therapy helped a little but started to feel like beating a dead horse and we haven’t been back for awhile. I just can’t take this feeling anymore and want to be away from him. Not sure if I need to vent or advice but this sucks.
