If you do ballet and enjoy thriller films, I highly recommend Black Swan.
This film stars Natalie Portman, I really like her since she lead the character in the film Léon when she was a little kid. She also studied ballet since childhood, and underwent rigorous training for the role and delivered a truly remarkable ballet performance in Black Swan. I am also a fan of thrillers and crime films, especially those dealing with conditions like schizophrenia or dissociative identity disorder (DID). Such as Shutter Island, Fight Club, Psycho, Primal Fear, Identity, and Split. From the perspective of the thriller genre, Black Swan is already an outstanding work. From the perspective of a ballet enthusiast, the film’s ballet aesthetics offer a stunning visual feast. This is what sets the movie apart from many other thrillers -- the sense of oppression and horror lies beneath a surface of exquisite beauty and elegance, creating immense tension. Highly recommended!
