Schwalbe Marathon Plus won’t fit

I’m struggling to fit these new 700x25c tyres with an inner tube and wondering if it’s a sizing issue.

The tyre is covering the rim all around, rather than fitting inside. I’ve seen many complaints online about fitting this tire, but from what I can tell in the videos, the struggle is fitting the last bit of the tire at the end whereas this feels different? The tire almost feels too big for the rim.

These are Alex Rims AT01 ETRTO with a 622 diameter. Previously on these I had a set of Schwalbe Pro Ones 700x23c but I wanted to upgrade to a set better suited for a commute, so I can’t see why these wouldn’t fit. I’ve also confirmed that the marathon tyres are 25-622 28x1.00 700x25c.

Am I missing something simple here? Wondering if I should return the tyres..

Orbea Denna vs Ribble CGR AL E

Would love to hear long term reviews of these from owners.

I’m considering purchasing an e bike for the commute to work in London (\\\~7 miles). London has mixed bag of rocky roads with potholes so wanted something with thicker tyres. Both of these look like great options but the Denner is a gravel bike.

I know the Ribble uses a the Mahle X30 I believe which I’ve read is industry proven (?). But I was told that the battery does need replacing after a few years. The Denner feels like it’d be more versatile but it has more coverage from owners online and looks like a proven model.

Can this be saved

Is there any way to have the leaves grow from the middle or bottom again, even if it means trimming the stem?

I’m new to this plant and I only picked it up a few months ago. It seemed like it was going fine, but I moved it away from the direct sunlight into indirect sunlight as the leaves started browning. I then purchased a moisture meter at the time and for a long period the reading showed that it was well watered but this is when the leaves started dropping rapidly.

I then just decided to water and since then it’s looking healthy again. Going forward I’ll probably ignore those moisture meters and do the good old finger test.

Would love to hear from any experiences on having this look beautiful again

Does anyone own the Van Rysel E-GRVL AF Discover?

Struggling to find any reviews for this model anywhere but it seems like a good price (VAN RYSEL Shimano Cues 1X11, E-Grvl Af Discover Electrical Gravel Bike - Khaki £1 699.99 https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/shimano-cues-1x11-e-grvl-af-discover-electrical-gravel-bike-khaki/332443/m8996248)

More context is that I’m considering getting an e-bike for my commute in London. For anyone who lives here, you’ll know that the rocks are rocky, bumpy and tend to have potholes. Because of this I’ve decided I want a e gravel bike to make that more comfortable and also use an excuse to potentially go on adventure style rides.

Looking for an ebike under 15kg to commute to work (~6 miles)

So I'm on the hunt for an ebike that is on the lighter side that I can use to commute to work in London (which has potholes, rocky roads, canals etc.). I've been riding bikes since I could remember and currently own a carbon road bike. These days I take a Forest (<30 mins) to and from work when I'm in the mood and now want to buy something myself to own.

My requirements are:

  • Lightweight (<15kg) - I live in a flat that has a few flights of stairs with no lift. I want something on the lighter end or with a frame where I can carry on my shoulder on the way up and down. Since I'll be doing this at least a few days a week, the less weight the better
  • Reputable support/warranty - I want to be sure or less comfortable knowing that if something goes wrong a year in with a part, I can get in touch with the manufacturer and they will be reasonable in helping me out. This is why I'd say Chinese bikes (as good as they may be) are off the cards
  • Comfort - I do have a road bike but the drop bars are probably not something I want for a commute where avoiding sweat is the goal.
  • Anything else as an experienced ebike owner you think I should have listed, but haven't

Beyond that I'd say I'm happy to spend around under <£4k since I'll be using the Cycle to Work scheme and am also paying half that a year for travel anyway.

So far initial browsing has uncovered:

  1. Canyon Roadlite:ONfly CF - new model has come out recently but read a review that someone said single speed so not sure if that'll be a disadvantage with hills/rocky roads in London
  2. Specialized turbo vado sl 4.0 - this looks great and Reddit users seem to love it. Though upto 20kg seems on the heavier side.
  3. Ribble CGR E AL - cant really see much about this bike on here so would love to hear from any owners
  4. Brompton P/G Line - this is all my list and probably would get the G Line because of the larger tyres. this feels less risk since I can fold away and that'd likely work if I move jobs and the next place doesn't have a monitored secure bike car park.
