Going by yourself

So I really want to go to haunted house this Halloween specifically Nashville nightmare in Tennessee. I’ve been twice so far and really loved it, but I don’t really have anyone to go with. Is it weird or awkward or does it really work if you go by yourself?

Aggressive sales

Not what I expected from Carmax. I have bought two cars from there before and went with an ex to help get hers. It was always a smooth, easy, friendly plate transaction no haggling no aggressive sales tactics anything like that that you would find at a cliché dealership that is a pure nightmare to go to. And this was almost the same, but the second I sat down with the salesman. It was aggressive sales tactic after another and he was a young kid too. I was very adamant clear. I did not want the extended warranty that Carmax offers the max care. It was going to increase my with a payment by $50 and it was already high enough as it is I could barely afford. He went through his sales pitch. I told him no adamantly twice and he kept going at it. he was starting to make me feel very uncomfortable. I thought this is not why I came here. This is the exact opposite of why I go to Carmax. I felt like if I didn’t say fine just add it then he would not leave it alone like dude no means no I’m not interested. The car only has 26,000 miles on it. I think I’ll be fine. I can’t afford it bottom line stop trying to force it on me. I just told you I literally cannot afford.
Definitely get a bad review from me for his extremely aggressive sales tacos that should be the opposite of why I choose to go to Carmax and the fact that he would not listen to my wishes and hear that I was saying no like Jesus dude

Working at Spencer’s as an older person

I’m 37 and looking for a second part-time job something that would be easy. I’ve done a retail before I was thinking about working at Spencer‘s. I still shop there every now and then would it be weird or awkward if someone my age works there, especially since mostly young people don’t work there

Repair scamming me?

So I just bought a car from them two days ago. I’m still in the 10 day return window. When a check engine light comes on. An initial OBD two code reader says emissions code so they think just replace the gas cap. But now the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree all the lights are coming on and the turn signals don’t work physically they work on the outside , but not on the dash and don’t make the clicking noise. They were supposed to do a full-blown diagnostic on it, but from the way, the repair rep was talking to me on the phone. I don’t think the repair technician did it at all. He’s only going off the OBD two reader that gave that initial emissions code. I think they’re being very cheap and lazy about it . They still think oh it’s just the gas cap needs to be replaced and all the problems will go away. I personally I’ve never heard of that. I’ve never heard of a faulty gas cap causing the dash to Christmas tree effect like that to me that would be an electrical problem somewhere, I think they are or at least my gut tells me they are just trying to do the utmost cheapest fix possible and I’m worried they will just clear the codes and try to send me on my way without fixing anything, am I being paranoid or are they basically trying to scam me and get me out the door before my 10 day mark. The car is a 2019 Kia soul. And again I have never heard of a gas cap being faulty or the emissions code, causing the Christmas tree effect in the cluster wouldn’t that be electrical between the cluster and the computer or somewhere else?
I like the car and I want to to keep it, but this is starting to really worry me. I’m starting to wonder if I should just go ahead and turn it back in before the repair department does this what my gut tells me is some scamming stuff?

Pick to buffer

So I am at DTN8 we just installed the new ASML labeling induct system on the dock. So far, we hate it for a various reasons. They’re also telling us that we will soon have the pick the buffer system installed. So at our station, we don’t have the pick buffer. We still have a pick line with pickers with 2 to 3 aisles each grabbing jiffyss and packages off the conveyance and placing them on shelves in front of our aisles. We have three totes at the bottom of the shelves where the pickers sort the jiffys by letter, A-B in one, C-D in one etc. It makes it pretty easy for the stower to grab a tote once it gets full and start stowing the since they’re sorted. From what I can tell the pick the buffer the conveyance automatically pushes everything that goes in your aisle into your buffer or into your bucket or bin or whatever, everything is pushed in there like a big hodgepodge on top of each other. My question is, how do y’all deal with the jiffys not being sorted already by letter for you, does it take up more time and make it more difficult to stow, or hows does it work with jiffy’s

Approved by Carmax, but denied in person

So I recently applied online on Carmax was prequalified, reserve the car, selected a term length and everything. It was approved at 20% APR with o down through Carmax’s in-house finance , got notifications and emails from my bank and Experian that a HARD credit check was done so I’m assuming an actual credit application but when I went in person to get it, basically I thought they then ran the actual credit application I guess and said I was denied. I’m like why did you waste my time and get my hopes up, has this ever happened to anyone.

Transfer

How do I know in the A to Z app in the transfer section if the facility I’m applying to transfer to is a SSD or not? I’ve got a list of about 13 facilities as options but none of them specifically SSD there are two with a description that kind of sound like they might be an SSD, SNL1

Transfer to FC

I have asked something similar in the past before, but want to get opinions. I currently work at a DS. I like the hours and the management and the building in general. But I am finally realizing that apparently a DS is far more physically demanding than a FC. I perfer DS because TOT isn’t really a thing at all. You do not get written up for a TOT you do not get written up for your rate. Those are not things that are something to worry about there. Which is kind of what I needed. But lately, I have been getting back injuries a lot from the physical part and I’m pretty sure I have a pinched nerve right now and having still work through it. I’m 37 now and it’s starting to take a toll on me with the constant back injuries.
Being 37 now and don’t have too many real options left as far as a steady job and reliable paycheck. I don’t plan on leaving Amazon.

I’ve been thinking about transferring to an FC since I’ve heard there is a big difference in the physical part. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Though I’m not too worried about time off task or making rate, just don’t like the stress of having to worry about those kind of things. do you think it would be worth it to transfer to an FC solely on it being less physical on your back?
