So, I used this trick to play my Ubisoft Connect games in offline mode literally a week ago:

"If you go to settings.yaml which is located in: C:(your drive, usually C:, on Windows)\Users(your username)\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher. you can open it and can go to the line "offline: false" and put it to true, now the important step is to then put the file on Read only, by going to the properties on the file, this prevents the uplay putting it to false again by itself and now your uplay starts up offline mode everytime you start it."

Now, it doesn't work. Ubisoft pops up with a settings.yaml.tmp file (though the contents are the same as settings.yaml), and the log in page. Because Ubisoft refuses to help me reset the email and password to my account (no surprise), I want to play the games I purchased. Again, I could do this literally a week ago, and now it doesn't work.

I also tried prohibiting inbound and outbound firewall rules for Webcore, to no avail.

HALP! Please help me hack this BS!

If I use the PayPal option on a website instead of entering my card details, does the merchant see my info?
