I have the Simply Cash Preferred Credit Card and I’m no longer using it as much, can I downgrade?

The monthly fee works out more than the actual cash back I accumulate these days. I’ve tried to downgrade in the past to the no monthly fee cash back CC and they said I’d have to close the credit card, is that true? Is there any way I can go about this so I’m not closing the account?

How much did you pay for your Camry?

I’m in Toronto, Ontario and I just purchased a brand new 2026 Camry XSE AWD, Heavy Metal w/ black roof for $67,423 CAD, cash. This includes a set of Michelin winter tires on top of regular all seasons, black out badges, cargo liner, appearance gard (5 years), ceramic coating, extra care protection tire and road hazard (60 months), rust module, 5 windows tinted, and the platinum care protection package (84 months or 120K km, whichever comes first). I know damn well this wasn’t a great deal, but was it a bad deal? For reference, this is the equivalent of a XSE premium package for US consumers (47.8K usd).

How much did you guys pay for your new Camrys? Please include your currency. Do you feel I got screwed over with pricing?

I’m a 27 year old male in Ontario and my auto insurance is $400/month, how can I get this lowered?

For context, I’ve been driving since I was 16, got my full G license around 2018-2019, but I never really had access to a vehicle until I bought my first car, a brand new Honda CRV in 2024. This is the first time I became primary insured. The lowest quote I found was through BrokerLink (Intact) for $4526/year, eventually this dropped to $3955 this year if I renewed with the same broker.

It just so happened that I bought another brand new vehicle (2026 Camry XSE) right as my policy was about to renew, and gifted my Honda to my parents. The quote with my broker for the new vehicle came back at around $435-460/month, which was so insane to me.

My Toyota is paid in full, and I live in Scarborough, Ontario, but the lowest I was quoted was $4821/year. I went through a number of different brokers and insurance companies directly to eventually end up with the above figure. I don’t have any accidents or convictions that are rating me, so I suspect what’s really impacting me right now is the number of years I’ve been “primary insured”? Any insight?

I’m presently with Aviva (just insured this month on a yearly term).

Any good family doctors in the Markham or neighbouring area?

I’ve been looking for a new family doctor for quite some time but everyone is either not accepting new patients or doesn’t show one ounce of care. Any suggestions?
