Rune Sage Element Focus

I want to make a tanky rune sage, and I'm debating/wondering whether more ethereal damage (traps and sword) is the way to go or more lightning damage (lantern and sword). I'll be using all parts of the kit, but really just debating between Spirit of Monsoon or Spirit of Berg enchants.

If anyone has any better suggestions I'm open to them

Speed Build

I'm making a speed build (real original, I know), and I have a few questions about some small differences in some things.

My current gear set is going to be the Black Pearlbird Mask (I don't like the Jewel Bird mask), and Master Trader Boots.

I can't tell what would be best for the actual armor slot.

Tenebrous Armor with enchantment is 10% speed and solid defenses.

Manawall has 10% initially and can get further enchanted. Also has Barrier and Protection (are they that worth it? Serious question.)

Master Trader is a bit slower at 5%, but has pockets and solid weather defense.

I'm just looking for some opinions. Obviously I'm not going for max speed, but close or at least fast enough to kite without dashing all the time (and speeding up travel). I'm going to be mainly using a bow if that makes a difference.

Fighter Pawn questions?

Making my new character, doing an Archer with a Fighter pawn. I have a few important questions here, as I'm SOMEWHAT familiar but not wholly on some of the systems.

Inclination and specialization are the big ones here. What is the best set up for a Fighter I'm using to keep the attention? Preferably a way I could have him charge in when I want him to, but let me snipe if I can, if that's a possible way.

Size. How BIG should my Fighter be? Should he be a big hulking man or should he be short and stout? I don't imagine a fighter in any game or real setting that would be thin and lanky.

Skills? I feel like shield drum is pretty obvious but anything else necessary for this type of playstyle?

Augments? Same here, there are some obvious ones like the one that attracts enemy attention, but any others specifically?

TL;DR- I want to make an efficient fighter pawn that keeps all the agro while I snipe from the distance. Help. Lol

Fighter or Archer Arisen? DD2

About to round out my first playthrough of the game, and all I have to say is WOW what a game. This is what DD1 SHOULD have felt like.

On that same note, I'm already thinking about my next journey and what I wanted to do. Currently I'm running as a MA with a mage pawn and loving the dynamic we have going. The pawns in 2 actually seem somewhat intelligent and I'm so glad my actions don't influence them nearly as much as in the first game.

My next run I was thinking about (somewhat) challenging myself and not allowing the use of other pawns. Vocation wise I was thinking either fighter-figher or Archer-Fighter/Warrior OR Sorcerer-Fighter/Warrior.

Fighter-Fighter would just be pure frontline damage, no real gimmick.

Archer-Fighter/Warrior would have a Fighter/Warrior for frontline/distraction while the Archer (me) snipes from the sidelines.

Sorcerer-Fighter/Warrior is the same as Archery, just with spells.

Which would be more fun/feel more rewarding? Or conversely, which would be more of a challenge? Would it be a fun challenge or just frustrating?

Thinking about a build around Guard Counters/perfect blocks, and 2 handing a weapon with Cragblade. Suggestions?

Title says it. Of course the works, greatshield, curved sword talisman, etc, but what else? What weapon would be best? Trying to break stance as much as humanly possible and block EVERY attack.

Beast Claws (weapon)

I wanted to try making a build around 2 handing these, I watched a few videos of the moveset/unique AoWs and they look really cool and fun to use! I just have a few questions.

Fast hitting weapons tent to be a bit on the weaker side (lower AR), does the fast movest compensate for this?

Should I be using a bleed or occult affinity with them? I get that native bleed builds with occult scaling, but am I looking for higher bleed or higher base damage?

How do they compare with other close range weapons like Dane's Footwork?

Are they worth trying a playthrough with? Or is it a trap weapon that looks really good and then plays really crap?

Tips for use are also appreciated!

Is there a website to calculate AoW damage? Or at least tell me how it works off of different weapons?

I'll do the math if I have to if I can find a website that just gives me "does 2.1× fire damage of weapon" but every website about it is so..... obscure

Sacred Relic Sword vs any greatsword with Sacred Blade

I want to make a paladin type build. Which sword is better for PVE and why? I understand that I can switch a regular weapon to flame art but that isn't the question. I don't particularly care about the high stat requirements of SRS. I just want to know, which do you think would preform better over the course of the game.

Threaded Cane

Someone please tell me what is so good about the threaded cane. I really want to like the weapon, it seems cool, and a lot of the community seems to love it next to some of the more "end game" weapons. I want to understand. I want to /know/. I come from Dark Souls where whips are trash in every iteration.

What is a "firearms only" run like?

I just finished my first playthrough and against my fiancé's advice, I went with arcane as my main damage stat. I didn't use the hunter tools all that much although I thought some of them were pretty cool.

I wanted to try out a bloodtinge/firearms run. I know about bloodletter and chikage but I'd prefer not having a weapon that damages me, and I think dual guns might be cool with Reiterpallasch.

TL;DR- How is a dual guns build? What is hard about it? How will early game be?
