book recommendations for yearning

i want a book where either one or both of the characters are terribly yearning for the other. i dont want it to be short and preferably id love a slow burn where the character realises they like the other with an "oh" moment

delilah green doesnt care

ive heard of this contemporary sapphic romance book for a while and heard high praise, so i decided to read it. i found it really disappointing.

i usually despise step sibling romances, but i found that the chemistry between delilah and astrid was way better than between claire and delilah! i just didnt really like claire and delilah that much as a pairing and was kind of bored of them. they didnt really have reasons for liking each other outside of physical attraction.

does anyone else share similar opinions? or maybe even opposing ones, id love to talk about this!

one of the best radical feminist newsletters

total woman victory is one of the best radical feminist newsletters ive heard of. all of their newsletters are totally free and you can access them through this site. i love that they reach out to different radfems across the globe to write for them

what are some of the best non terfy books about gender?

i find that there are a lot of radical feminist essays and small texts about gender that arent terfy but not a lot of actual books. i really want a good book to read about radical feminist theory that goes into depth about this because i do really find the idea of gender roles being inherently suppressive a thing, but usually the author then just starts blaming trans women while theyre not the oppressors here

add a daily planner or weekly planner maybe

i really love to keep my weeks and days structured so maybe an optional daily planner or weekly planner at the left screen would be nice, because right now im just using the journal, but something a little more structured would be nicer

femslash as a term in fandom culture

this is a bit of a niche topic, especially if one isnt that interested in fandom spaces and if so then skip over this. but in fandom spaces, m/m pairings are usually called SLASH while f/f pairings are called FEMSLASH. slash just means a pairing between a homosexual couple.

the term FEMslash is phallocentric and male centric in itself and i hate it. i hate that its so widely spread and that people dont even blink while using it because males are the norm and women are the OTHER. it reminds me of how whenever people talk about males football they always just call it football, but when women play football its womens football.

women are always seen as the other, even in very progressive leaning spaces. because even the most progressive people will not care to dismantle their own misogyny in every single thing they do. why they perhaps like male characters in fandom more than female ones, or why gay male shipping is so enticing to them. many queer women also fall in this trap sadly (biggest percentile of fandom are queer women).

This is genuinely one of the best videos ive watched explaining why lesbian relationships arent as popularised as gay ones

Please watch it as she also dives into real life things about lesbianism that is really interesting! Ive watched this video more than 5 times

why do gay men never later come out as "bi" but lesbians do it often

ive almost never seen a (cis) gay male come out as bi or even straight later in his life. ive ONLY seen that happen with trans men or cis women where they are ADAMANT that they like women and then boom they suddenly have a boyfriend. it has happened to me so often with my crushes that its a running joke along my friends that i convert them as soon as i crush on them.

So sick of "lesbians" coming out as bi after making a "why i should have known i was a lesbian" video

Alana fay on youtube was one of my fav short form lesbian content creators for me to watch and recently i came across a video where she stated she HAD A BOYFRIEND. i went through her videos and realised she deleted most of her lesbian videos and have only found bi videos by now.

the link is one of the deleted videos of her discussing herself being a lesbian. if you scroll through her most popular videos youll find her talk about being bi and the pros and cons of dating males and women.

i HATE that this keeps happening to any "lesbian" content creators i watch. do they even know what lesbian means??? why does this keep happening
