Movies that rugpull you so hard you do a flip mid air and break your neck upon landing.

Here's two examples of what I mean:

  • Tusk (2014) : You sign up for a funny story with a bizarre premise and end up gruesomely exposed to some grade A body horror of the most mean spirited variety.

  • Bone Tomahawk (2015): You sign up for a cowboys and Indians western and end up with a story about a bunch of very human people suffering mercilessly at the hands of chalky, giant man-eating, all-male cavemen.

  • (A slightly less horrifying example) Sinners (2025): You sit down to watch a crime and action movie but it turns out it is actually about two criminals up against honest to god blood drinking vampires.
