Construction in the bowl

Does anyone know if the entire bowl is still blocked off for construction? Last month I couldn’t get across from riel to the geology building for my exams and I have another one tomorrow and need to plan where to be dropped off

Euthanized my baby today

My 9 year old maltipoo had to be put down today. She was my whole world for the 4.5 years I had her. She developed early heart failure and was only diagnosed a couple months ago. She stopped eating and drinking, playing, and wouldn’t get out of bed anymore so we knew it was time. She used to follow my dad around the house everywhere he went and she even stopped doing that. My dad cooked some hamburger meat for her and we gave her a scoop of ice cream before we took her today. I feel like I killed her by making the decision to put her down even though I know she was suffering and this was the most humane way to help her. I can’t stop thinking about the way her life left her body after the injection and the sound of her little snorts stopping. This isn’t the first time we’ve had to euthanize one of our dogs but I was pretty young at the last time and I was much closer with our newer dog. I can’t stop crying and I just feel so hopeless. I loved her so much

Vent because I can’t sleep

I’m so fucking tired of my medications taking so long to absorb. I can’t even sleep anymore because my pills are just sitting in my stomach and then I throw them up in the morning. It’s been hours since I took them and I just want to sleeppp

Old Porcelain Plate from Canada

This porcelain plate belonged to my great great grandmother who lived in the prairies in Saskatchewan, Canada. It was passed down to my grandmother after she passed away. The second picture is the makers mark on the back of the plate. It has a few chips on the front of the plate from lots of use over the years

Throwing up pills next morning

This morning after I woke up I was feeling nauseous and ended up throwing up partially dissolved tablets (Quetiapine) of my sleeping pills. They still take effect at night but it takes a long time and the effect is pretty mild compared to before I started having these issues. Could it be because it’s moving through my stomach really slowly and so there might’ve been some left over in my stomach still? I’m newer to this so I’m not 100% sure how this works

Buscopan/Hyoscine Butylbromide for GP?

My family doctor prescribed metaclopramide originally, and then changed me to Buscopan to help empty my stomach faster and to help with GI discomfort as metaclopramide interacts hugely with a few of my other meds. I looked it up after though and it says this makes GP worse as it actually slows the digestive system? I’m not sure if I should even attempt to take it or just avoid it. Does anyone have any ideas or previous experiences with this?

Spring/summer classes when trying to get into pharmacy

I was wondering if I took spring or summer classes at the end of my second year if that would impact my application to get into pharmacy? I’m not sure if I need to have all the required classes completed by the end of the winter term, or if I can take a spring or summer class after?

Bump on ear front and back

I got my helix pierced about 3.5 months ago and I noticed a bump around the hole. The bumps were only under where the earring was. I took my earring out to get a better look at it and took a few pictures. I clean it 2x a day with sterile saline. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me if it’s just irritation during the healing process or if this is some type of scarring. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Were military photos like this in the world wars keepsakes for family or were they taken for the military?

I’m from Saskatchewan, Canada and I’ve seen a lot of men that served in WWI and WW2 around here have photos taken of them in their uniforms. I was curious if it was common for families to just want a photo for themselves as a keepsake type of thing, or if the military took them or required them

Does anyone else still have your stomach rumble even after you’ve eaten? Like I’ll feel super full and sick from eating but then my stomach keeps growling. I feel like this kind of makes sense if your stomach is not emptying into your intestines properly so there’s no food in them 😔
