Hippopotamus of the car universe

Does buying this hippopotamus of a car on a rental model make sense?

  1. Approx 10L (ex-showroom)

  2. Min ₹3.99/km battery rent with a floor limit of 1500km for billing (even if you drive less)

  3. The minimum annual rental bill would be around 70k.

  4. Complicated insurance, since you would not own a major component of the car.

  5. Resale complications

  6. 24×7 tracking of your car's driving activities (RIP Privacy)

And with all this hassle, you get a car that looks nothing less than a hippo on the road, which will haunt you to make the best use out of it to ensure the rent paid is at least "worth it."

Lately, I have seen a lot of Windsors on the road, assuming the majority are on a rental model, since spending 15-16L on this fatso of a car would not be someone's ideal choice (controversial statement).

Should I sell my M5?

I am 1st time Mac user and am finding it very inconvenient to use. It's been almost 2 months that i have been using it. I have sideloaded MS excel as my work is highly dependent on it, but majority of the shortcuts that worked on Windows are not working in my Mac excel.

Managing the windows on mac is also getting overwhelming for me now, I thought it would be overall very useful for me, but it's taking a toll on me now.

Given that it's price has increased by over 10k now, I guess the demand for an almost new Mac would sky rocket in the 2nd hand market.

So, should I sell it and get a Windows in the 70-80kish range and save the rest?

How may are enough?

I'm working on my lifestyle brand, and the first product type will be backpacks. I have my own manufacturing unit, which will help me with cost and quality control.

I have outsourced backpack design by hiring freelancers and currently have three designs in the pipeline.

Since my entire focus for now will be backpacks, how many designs (not colors) would you suggest for the launch?

Other information:

  1. The target audience would be mid-premium (3k-7k range).

  2. My D2C website would be the priority selling place. I'm contemplating whether to list on Amazon for visibility or not.

I'd appreciate your suggestions on the number of designs as well as other business aspects for my categories.

Well done Campus!

I recently came across a new (for me) line from Campus. This is the same brand that used to cater to the mass market with very boring and generic designs, and now their latest sneaker design language is something that deserves appreciation. The color combination and minimalism speak volumes about the effort they have put in to pivot and cater to a new audience. And, of course, since it's Campus, the price point still remains affordable for the masses.

The silhouette might be inspired by the Sambas and Onitsukas of the world, but at least it's not a blatant copy in the name of inspiration, unlike some other Indian brands. (The ones who have shoes exactly like Air force, Asics/NB)

I haven't personally owned a pair, so I can't comment on the comfort.

Kudos to Campus!

*ps- its not a paid post, i am just an admirer of designs*

Fitbit air bulk buy

Hi, I am looking to import the Air from Amazon UK and noticed that a lot of others are opting for the same.

I am looking for people to place a bulk order to divide the customs cost. I am not looking for any profit; I will transparently share the relevant details asked for.

Amazon is currently letting me order 3 pieces. I'll keep one and can ship the other 2.

Just one important point: I cannot pay for the entire amount by myself, expecting a 50% pre-payment; I will need help if co-ordering.

No shady behavior; sharing the price for 3 in this post.

Where to buy the Air from?

There are multiple options to buy fitbit air from, I am listing the platforms I am considering with reasons:

  1. Amazon UK - A lot of positive reviews, fast delivery, Amazon trust.

  2. Mainstreet Marketplace- Cheaper than Amazon, option of Buy now pay later with no cost (I am the one who considers such finance options even if I can pay the full amount upfront)

The dilemma is that Amazon price is around 2-2.5k more than Mnst Mktplace with no No cost emi options, but have heard negative reviews of Mnst (mostly about delay in delivery).

Please help me out.
