I'm distraught, my university faked my grade

I'm a LaRP (Law and Rigorous Philosophy) student and recently graduated in the summer with a "First". My parents arranged a graduation party next week for me at the Royal Albert Hall and at first i was over the moon, until my my best friend texted me and told me she graduated with a first too (she graduated a bit later becuase of mitigating circumstances due to the death of her pet fly).

I was like how? I got a first too. She was offended but i don't care, my head was spinning. How can TWO people get a first? I fully expected her to get like 40 and below (quite frankly she was far from the smartest in our class of 50).

I texted other people on the course and they also said they got firsts. You get a first, you get a first, EVERYONE GET'S A FIRST!

I feel robbed. I was the one who got first place, and now everyone is first now? Who's 2nd? 3rd? 4th? Is this some kind of sick participation trophy??

Got a skip for home renovation, how do I deter opportunists dumping their trash?

Well not for me but my parents have an open, mostly empty skip on the road right now and ive heard too many skip stories to sit around and do nothing.

Any quick ideas for a non mount camera? I have an Amazon blink camera but night mode doesn't work behind glass so I probably have to dangle it a bit outside and close the window. Not to mention the quality is trash.

Any free providers for virtual private cloud servers?

I have a web scraper for personal use and currently just use my device, but it stops running the moment it goes to sleep. Thought about self hosting but unless i can just do it on some old phone and keep it charged i'd rather use something like oraclecloud maybe? Overkill but is that ok?

Feeling down and lost after wasting years of my 20s, does it get better?

24 now and for the past 6 years i've done nothing to the point i feel like i am in the same position i was when i was 18. Flunked out of uni twice for various reasons and while i have worked part time a bit and helped the family, i've practically been living at home as a NEET trying to take off but failing. I'd rather have good memories / stories to tell / friends but i don't even have that. The only thing i have for me right now is my aptitude but i've completely neglected hard work because i don't know what to work towards.

I'm still planning to go to uni next year hopefully, even though i kinda grieve not having the traditional route for education. In the meantime i really want to put the past behind me and develop as a person with hobbies goals friends etc.

The thought of wasting 6 years still eats away at me though, and i'm struggling to adjust to this delayed timeline. Instead of living my youth i'm just missing out on all of it.

I'm still hopeful, and i've accepted my reality but it's still something that will weigh on the back of my mind at least for the next couple years i imagine. I'm hoping anyone older whos been through something similar could advise so that i can see there could be light at the end of this long tunnel.

PSA: Take reddit, including this sub, with a grain of salt

I've checked this sub out for years, but i've only noticed how bad it can be this past week. Some posts so bad that people don't even answer the question let alone read it properly and resort to insults.

Just found one geezer here just jumping on the bandwagon to artistically insult someone's english, fine if that's how you choose to spend your time, but that's pretty much what they do a lot apparently.. except one comment where they complain someone would "resort to insults" and that "people like you are why social media is toxic"

Basically, just be privy. And don't ever feel down reading comments on here, and focus on getting advice in real life.

No A levels and cannot do an access course due to being in education recently

I was wondering what is the quickest way to get into university I applied for a 2 year course last year but got kicked off on November 1st due to poor attendance and now I cannot do an access course for two years until 2027 September I am 21 and do not want to waste any more time. If anyone has any advice I would be so so greatful as I am feeling so disheartened atm.

Are macOS updates as fun as they were a decade ago?

I still have my 2015 imac i got as a teen and maybe it was because i was young and it was a novelty at the time (i still remember trying the mac for the first time, it was amazing) but the annual updates were fun. especially the mojave one where the background changes according to the time of day.

I stopped at catalina and that was that. How is it now? I might get a new imac soon.

Put wrong size on listing but tag shows correct size, should i post it?

Had this item up for 2 years so no clue how it is so wrong but the tag clearly shows the correct size. I will let the buyer know if they are happy to proceed but am i putting myself at risk even if they accept? Should i ask them to cancel and rebuy? Thanks

I had a couple £5 gift cards to spend and another one on my phone wallet that had some residual amount which i used last, because i wanted to get rid of as many gift cards as possible. The total was £20.xx so i used 4 x £5 gift cards and then scanned the one on my phone.

When i checked my phone later i got a pop up saying i had £0 left. Confused because i know there was more than a pound on it. Checked the receipt and found they put the remaining amount on an earlier scanned gift card. Not sure why they did it like that.
