I was born in 2004, and honestly, I sometimes feel like we’re stuck right between Millennials and Gen Z 😂

We’re technically Gen Z, but our childhood feels pretty different from the younger Gen Z kids. When we were in 3rd or 4th grade, we were literally sending songs via Bluetooth. My parents still had keypad phones, and getting a phone with Bluetooth felt like we had some next-level futuristic gadget 😂

I still remember how excited we’d get like, “Send me that song on Bluetooth!” No WhatsApp, no AirDrop, no Spotify — just Bluetooth, and then sitting there waiting for it to transfer 😭

But if I say this to someone born in like 2007–2010, they look at me like I’m talking about ancient history 💀

At the same time, I feel way more connected to people born around 1996–2003. Their childhood and teen experiences just feel way more similar to mine than younger Gen Z.

People born around 2004–2005 kind of went through this weird in-between phase — we saw technology slowly become normal, instead of being born straight into a world where smartphones, social media, and streaming were already everywhere.

Anyone else born around 2000–2004 feel this too? 😂

For people living in Navanagar, do you guys feel it’s a bit inconvenient since for most things you have to go to Hubli or Dharwad?

Like shopping, railway station, main bus stand, market, etc.

Does travelling to Hubli/Dharwad for these things get annoying, or is it not really a big deal?

Just curious what people living there think 😅

I'm joining Infosys as a System Engineer soon and wanted to know how much the generic/stream training at Infosys actually helps your resume.

Does completing the training in areas like Java, DBMS, etc. have any meaningful value when applying to other companies later?

Or is the training mainly useful for learning the skills, while recruiters don't really care that you completed Infosys training?

For those who have already completed Infosys training and later switched jobs, did you feel that the training helped you in any way during your job switch?

I have my upcoming onboarding at Infosys mysuru and had a few doubts regarding the room allocation timeline.

Gate to Room Time: On average, how long does the entry, verification, and room allocation process take from the moment you reach Gate 2/Main Gate until you actually step into your assigned ECC room?

Crowd/Queues: If reporting starts early in the morning/afternoon, how heavy are the queues?

I have my joining as a System Engineer on the 21st sept, and I have around 60 days left. Since I'm from a non-IT background, I want to start preparing now so I can easily clear the generic training. What should I start studying so the training doesn't feel like a burden?
