Here's my first few weeks of collecting (I live with 6 people)

A mug engraving company near me used to bring its mess ups to the free stuff pile at my local dump.
I saw a post on here from someone that thought ticks are kind of cute when they stand on the end of a blade of grass with their arms up, as though they're toddlers asking to be picked up. OP might have been a tick biologist I can't remember. It stuck with me because I think finding cuteness in something is the easiest path to feeling empathy for it and I'm not sure there's an animal harder to empathize with than a tick. I've had Lyme and my partner had babesiosis, both of which sucked SO bad. But I still think ticks are kind of cute when they ask for uppies.
I set up a home studio in a shed that used to be a milking parlor back in the day and found these on the floor. Picture the farmer coming back to find that the barn cat had walked through the wet cement. I thought it would be fitting to make a cast and use it as a stamp on my test tiles.
It's headed to Germany. I might make more of them, I got a lot of old stamps
My guess is cat because some of them are really round but a few prints have the middle toes a little higher so I'm not positive. I found them in an old barn, I imagine the feral cats have been around for a long time. I pressed clay into them to get a better look.
I had SO much fun at the expo, I hope I can go again some day. No one complimented my stamp shirt but that's okay, it was for me 😅
