Why is diesel more expensive than gasoline?

Hello everyone! I’m old enough to remember when diesel was cheaper than gas. The explanation I always heard was that diesel requires less work to make, the refinement process is easier, cheaper and faster. Is this true? If it is true, why is diesel more expensive now? My initial thought is that maybe there’s more people using diesel, large hauling companies, businesses or perhaps it’s that diesel is made somewhere else and transportation costs have increased? Curious what the answer might be. Thanks!

Sick of having to “be the adult” when everyone can act like children

This is mostly a vent session, but it gotten to the point I’m extremely frustrated with my co-congregants.

Our church is full of great people, but a few people absolutely ruin it. From a woman throwing a fit about not be allowed to bring her dog to an outdoor event (sending a nasty email and cc-ing everyone), to a man verbally accosting other congregants at circle suppers or a youth leader getting involved in the marriage of one of their youth’s parents, oh and don’t let me forget to mention the board president that used her farewell speech to shout how much the congregation has made her miserable.

I’ve heard it all. Ohhh, they’re neurodivergent, or that’s just how so and so is. I’m sorry. I’m half the age of most these people and I expect myself to restrain my frustration, but we’re just supposed to accept how these other people act?

I had a situation come up, where I was under the belief I was intentionally cut out of a committee I was working on. Did I write a nasty email? No! I spoke with a trusted member of our lay pastoral team who helped me craft a polite email expressing my feelings without placing blame or judgement. And guess what! It was just a mistake, nothing intentional! If I’d just flown off the handle like everyone else, then I probably wouldn’t have gotten a resolution.

When I’m 40, can I act like an asshole?

Completely failed potty training 4y/o

Hi parents.

My wife and I are completely lost. Our 4y/o daughter has completely regressed in potty training. We started at 2.5, everything was fine. We’d potty trained our oldest before without any issues. She struggled a bit, but mostly made it through 3 with minor issues.

Then we hit this past summer. She turned 4 and completely regressed, lots of accidents. We figured “ok, it’s not our regular routine”. We were traveling and didn’t keep to our normal schedule. We were doing fun things and she was distracted.

Now it’s back to school and we’ve completely lost the plot. Multiple accidents a day, at home, at school, in the car. We’ll ask if she needs to go, she’ll say no and have an accident just a few minutes later. We’ll make her go to the bathroom before trips to the store, at the store and still have accidents in the car.

We refuse to punish her for this because we don’t want it to feel shameful. Now, it seems like she won’t tell us if she needs to go anyway. Laundry is piling up, our home smells like urine, our car smells like urine. I’m completely lost. I have no idea what has happened and where we went wrong. All the while our youngest just turned 2 and is already training them self without any intervention.

What happened here? What can we do? Any advice is welcome. I’m at a breaking point.

Edit: I want to thank you all for your thoughtful responses. This post has given me many more options to explore. I really appreciate the support of this community.

Safe to assume this car seat is cooked?

Hey dads, the rest of the car seat is in really good condition, but the head rest foam split. I’m guessing this car seat needs to be permanently retired. What do you think?

Temp Agency vs Triad

Currently in the middle of a weird interview situation. The hiring manager would like me to come on with Triad, but naturally the Temp Agency wants me to sign with them. I haven’t reviewed the benefits package from the agency, but the pay is significantly better. Anyone had this situation?

City Market New Chili Find... Nope.

I had to check the expiration date based on the smell.

It is not thick. Possibly it was meant for a dip?

No idea.

The mop bucket in Satans kitchen MAY taste better.
