Sometimes it's the only solution, lol. But how many times have you had to do this in your stories?

I saw the word viscount recently and pronounced it as I would with discount. But I later got to understand that they are not necessarily pronounced the same way, which is weird because they both originate from old French (according to my research findings). I know there are outliers and exceptions to everything, but there should be some kind of explanation, right?

I have friends in areas where they claim that it's too cold. I'm currently in an area where it's too hot.

I get greasy and sweaty every day and i'd do anything to be back in the cooler temperatures.

Aside the fact that we humans are fickle and would always want something else from what we currently have, which do you prefer. . . .the cold or the heat?

I see and hear stories of how people's lives changed positively and drastically for that matter just in one year. Part of me is always hopeful that it actually happens to people but the other part of me keeps nudging that these people are just outliers, and some. . .well they're just fibbing lol.

But I do know that there's the real deal. Now the problem is that most of the time positive change or growth has almost always been very gradual over years for me and even with a couple of steps back on multiple counts. And this applies in finances, career, and family.

However, if it has to do with counter-positive change. . .it's like it easily happens without even trying, hehe.

So essentially, I want to know if people out there have experienced legit, exponential positive change in just one year (in terms of family, career and finances) rather than the gradual, slow change over years of intentional and diligent effort.
