How do you rationalize John committing crimes in the Epilogue?
Recently, I’ve been replaying RDR2 before playing RDR1 for the first time. I love taking it slow in this game, enjoying the little things and all the small details, and playing it as realistically as I can.
Although, after getting to Chapter 4 or so I decided I’d take a shot at 100%ing it, so competing all the challenges and such. At that point I was still at Bandit 1 and hadn’t completed the other crime related challenges as I was doing a high honor Arthur play though, thinking it was too late in the game for Arthur to suddenly switch it up now and start mindlessly murdering and robbing people and all that crazy shit before turning a new leaf a chapter later LOL. Then, I thought I’d just complete the rest of the challenges in the epilogue.
After completing the main story, I could never really think of a good logical reason as to why John would start committing all these crimes again while being supposedly wanted in all these states, especially once he was trying to earn Abigail back and even more so, after >!they get married and John kills Micah.!<
So basically, I was wondering if anyone else had thought about this and had come up with their own reasoning as to why this would be? I know it’s just a game and I’m overthinking this, but this is just the way I like to enjoy this series, and I thought this was an interesting question nonetheless LOL.
TLDR: What is your reasoning as to why John would still commit crimes in the epilogue, even after >!killing Micah!< and >!getting married to Abigail?!<
PS: I haven’t played RDR1 yet and I don’t know the full story.
