I wanted to get into radiography simply because I am good at physics and want to work in a hospital for a decent income. However i heard that this job is getting more and more saturated every year? By the time i graduate (2031) can i even get a job? I saw a lot of people warning those who want to study radiography that there’s going to be a surplus of radiographers. Another question is that can i still take masters like medical physics or completely unrelated to radiography? Will my path be fixed if i study radiography? Thx

Im planning to study engineering (maybe EE, mech, BME, civil) in Hong Kong and potentially have a career in hk. However, i heard from a lot of people online that if you take engineering in hk you are doomed to have a low salary and work like a dog lol. I wish i could study in the US where engineers get paid a lot but my parents ban it. If it’s true then i will switch to the medical field or study in Australia.

are 3A* the grades that most people who got accepted get? if i am predicted 3A* is it true that my chance of getting in is still minimal? i really want scholarships because the tuition fee is too high. with 3A*s which majors (physics related) can guarantee a scholarship?

I am sitting 2 AS levels (chem and physics) in October and i am doing self study, i do mocks and correct them by myself. I normally score 65-72/80 in mocks. However it might be due to me being too soft to myself so i deducted fewer points. Also, in the next few weeks idk if i will be able to study really hard sooooo do yall think im able to get an A if the exams were tomorrow? Im getting lazier and lazier these days i cant get myself to study.

Are there cases where people got a B or C even when they constantly score 70/80 in their mocks?

So im a form 6 student and this week i received an offence for using my mobile phone because my alarm rang during class. It’s my second time since secondary school so i had to get an “offence” with my parents coming to school and signing stuff like that. It’s most likely that the record will be written in my form 6 report card. I’ve been stressing over this and i dont want this stupid ass school rule to ruin my future university and career life bro. I searched online and most said the unis dont care at all. Is that true? Will the university look at my misbehaviour record and be like “nah we dont want this student who dont behave although she has 3As”? Do they even care about the school report cards or just A level results?😭🙏🏻

in fact i’m already crying because i didn’t have enough time to finish and most of the sentences were all simple structured and sounded like a kid wrote it.

i prepared for a few days and got pretty confident in my writing—i could generate relevant ideas and give pretty good examples. chat gpt often gave me a 7.5. i could write with advanced and complex vocabulary and grammars.

but now all these don’t matter anymore. when the writing started i spent too much time doing task 1 because of stress. then when i saw task 2, my mind was not functioning properly and i kept losing my train of thoughts. i couldn’t even think of the explanations. btw for those who are wondering, the prompt was sth like most crimes are due to poverty and social problems or criminals are just bad in nature. discuss both views and give ur opinion

i guess the primary reason is that i only slept for 5h yesterday bc i was stressing out and couldn’t fall asleep. i already drank coffee in the morning hoping i could be more concentrated but obviously it didn’t work.

now i just hope that i can get at least a 6 bro. and really, please sleep well before ielts or else you’ll end up like me.

This applies to both writing and speaking. After finishing a few mocks, i noticed that i tend to have higher level of vocabs and ideas when I get something related to my studies or that im interested in. For example i can probably yap a lot about physics, school, sports but will get stuck in economics, or when they ask me about things that i never had or visited.

For writing especially, i mess up a lot as idek what im writing, I’ve never thought about those topics For speaking part 2, if they ask me to describe a museum and i dont remember visiting a museum, should i just honestly tell them or invent one and yap?

Was studying mammalian transport system and got tired of writing long ass words so i asked Gemini if i could write Hb instead of haemoglobin. It said yes, searched online the same Gemini said i cant. So i js wanna ask if i can use WBC, RBC, Hb in my exams. Thx! (Ial)

compared to chemistry where the questions are almost entirely repetitive, the mark scheme of physics is just so weird and unpredictable. i always can’t correctly mention the specific points in the mark scheme and it’s so frustrating. sometimes it accepts an answer sometimes it’s not mentioned, especially in “describe a method”. moreover what’s the difference between mean and average??

the paper was okay but why were there barely any organic chem?? no carboxylic acids no esters no polymers no displayed formulas no nothing.

what’s the answer for “describe how the student can show that chlorine is more reactive than bromine”? i couldn’t think of 3 points. and the titration modifying thing
