What would you expect to pay for a 2022 Elantra n line

N Line package with manual transmission. 95,000 miles. What would you expect to pay because I look at blue book and that doesn’t look like reality to me. I’m thinking I need a truck so the Elantra has to go but Blue Book says like WOW too much. Even at 95,000 miles and a manual. So what is your expectation

They wanted to give nothing for my Elantra NLine

I went in with my 2022 Elantra NLine with its Manual Transmission. I owe about $8000. I didn’t expect $19,000, which is the top of blue book but, I expected SOMETHING! Truck was $31,000. When the deal came out that was the price and nothing else. I kept looking thinking I missed something. Nope. Here was proposed financing for $32,000 because of tax. wtf just happened?! Where was the deal for my car?

I knew the neighbor was going to trim the trees because they’d gotten so overgrown on his side that we had been looking for an arborist to come this fall but…..

This is one of my White oaks. I get the long was hanging over. Like i said, we were getting it scheduled for fall like you should with oaks to avoid oak Wilt. Well now he’s cut it and left this over 2 ft round limb hanging over his property. I live inside a wetland and July is in a few days. Help! I’m worried he’s going to have murdered this tree in 10 yrs and yeah. Fuck that. Help! Edit: every tree in the yard was supposed to get a trim in the fall. They are White Oaks and very large so I had contacted an arborist. We had it scheduled with a notable local company. The limbs in Question…. The tree trunk is enormous. He cut them not bk to his property but over it. I know he can cut the tree. I did not assume he could cut it in a way where it would surely get disease and die? That’s like a thing? I live in an insect area. A freshwater wetland. This is very important for the health of the tree

If your neighbors trim a limb hanging over their property wrong…..

What can I do? It’s not that he trimmed the trees. It’s that there’s stumps hanging off the tree and it’s gonna be July and yeah. We live in bug heaven. I was polite and asked and still…. I’m not trying to get free trimming. We saw the limbs and saw that it was time and had planned trimming trees this fall. They have never communicated with us except to Tell us they wanted the trees down. That was when she first moved in. Years ago. I am glad the trees got trimmed. I hat can I do about them leaving these stumps that are going to cause issues that cost real $. I’m also worried that the stumps left will rot and the tree will eventually fall on them. Their home. Their bedrooms. What can I do? It’s just gotta be done right. Trim it true and paint it. Ugh. The trees are enormous.

How to find the job that fits best

I know this guy who has the most crazy awesome construction resume I’ve ever heard of. Everything from pile driving yo industrial maintenance to commercial diving. AND… he excelled at all of it. He’s doing great right now fixing industrial machines. He’s got so much experience….. how do I direct him to a headhunter that looks for people like him for companies? He’s THAT guy. He shouldn’t be here with us. Covid seems to have derailed him like it has so many.

I’m done. Time to get serious about my own business

I swallow misery like it’s water and I’m thirsty from a desert walk. The men around me are just miserable. No matter how much concrete I pull or finish, I’m never gonna fit in. I finally said no to something and apparently, that’s my job now so No. No more. No more listening to misery as he groans next to me because he doesn’t take care of himself like the athlete our jobs ask us to be. No more showing up to bridges only to be told I don’t need concrete tools or boots. No more having my job given to 18 yr olds with 2 weeks in. No more butterflies on the way to work. No more racing to the next address and hoping I have the right one because no one told me the next address. They just took off. No more knowing I’m not welcome. No more bullshit lies about how I am welcome. Shut the fuck up. You treat me like shit. I’m not welcome here. No more. I’m done. I came home and told my husband I’m done. No more union labor work. They treat me like dogshit. He said he’s sorry and ok. No more. Go do side work. He will help. Here’s some people who need some stuff. So…. I’m out. Done. Going back to doing my own shit. Yay! I’m tired of hating men. They don’t all suck but, THOSE guys suck the miserable fucks out of

I Wes sent with the concrete crew to do a bridge deck. Got there and was handed a blower

All last week my crew kept talking about this bridge deck. I didn’t know I was going because—— easy answer for Cleveland- Girl. I was shocked when I was told yes, you are coming to help finish the bridge. So excited at the opportunity though! So I get there and first thing the inspector is telling me to move my car like I don’t belong there. No one else. Just me. Then , this random Forwman comes up, “Wr have enough finishers. You’re using the blower.” I’m like …. Ok, I guess? Like wtf but, yeah. I’m here so that’s something, right. Then I see the giant back pack blower. I’m not big but I can rake concrete all day. So, what the hell? I know this blower is gonna kill my shoulders but, I swallow my pride and grab the blower. 4 hrs in and my shoulders and back are on fire and I’m fucking soaked. We are blowing water off the bridge and the dude with me keeps shooting it right at me. So I’m pissed. I’m not here to blow water off the fucking bridge. Ffs I have my fucking tools with me! So I start to bitch. Too heavy. Finally someone says there’s the Super so I practically run over to him and ask what else I can do? This machine is killing me! He says I can finish so I say OK! And happily grab my shit. After 4 hrs of being soaked I finally got to help finish. Like wtf?! What the actual fuck?! Why is this such a big deal to them? So dumb. So fucking dumb. Edit: I’m a journeyman. This happens everywhere I go. I fight to show what I can do. They see and still say that didn’t happen.

Where are my Concrete Women at?!!!

I’m 48, female, and a union laborer in Northeast Ohio. I have been on a heavy highway concrete crew digging out sidewalk, curb, road, as well as taking a lot of gravel, etc for a few years. I have desperately wanted to learn how to Finish concrete for years. I”ve run over and helped rake so much concrete I instinctively know when that truck is getting low before it rattles. A few weeks ago I was forming sidewalk with this really religious dude who definitely did not want to spend the day with a woman not related or married to him. My boss gave my job to an apprentice with 2 weeks in the next day. Second I saw what happened, I started making phone calls. I left early to go talk to some folks. Had 3 jobs offered by the next day so, I asked to join the pour and Finish crew. They’re SO busy. No one says stupid shit to me. No one climbs up into the dump truck to shit in it. They just seem excited to have help they need. Like…. I didn’t know this existed in the Midwest! Please wish me luck. I’m trying very hard for this. To have such a skill and be female should not be special. It just shouldn’t be. Every day I’m shocked that it’s 2026 and someone has missed their green light staring at me working. Like … really?

Is there a simple accounting app for home for the non computer person?

My husband and I work very heard in the construction industry. We need an app or program that we can use that helps us figure out months ahead more easily. We are able to use programs and apps, we just don’t use them daily like some do so, we tend to just go slower. Look around more to find where we need to go is all. I’m just not into accounting software so I have no idea where to even start with this. Please give some suggestions because that spiral notebook he’s using is really getting under my skin. lol
