God, I miss that meta so much. Imagine Prime YWL, HYPERTUNE, NAVI, CTG, SG, new 100T on that meta again. Iamnotcrying

Happy to see him approach these topics in a more professional way but still have his character and personal on display.

I have noticed that People here in the sub resort to the statement "This game is balanced for casuals", when the balance patches or state of the meta is brought up. People that champion and believe this statement as true are delusional beyond belief. I am as casual as it gets. I have never gone past Gold 1, I only play till I get the gold skin, I play around 10-30 hours a season and I haven't played more than 2 hours in S9 and S9.5 combined. I got physically sick because of the visual Clutter.

The casual experience is the worst experience in this game.

QP is filled with High Elo DPS players that are playing their perma banned characters or their characters that stopped working in their rank. Characters like BP, Black Cat, Elsa, Hela, Spider Man. Against literal new players and players that got on for just the new season.

Ranked is true hell for casuals. I swear to what you, the reader believes is the holiest to me; that every other ranked game has a Smurf. In the ranks that I have played, Bronze to Gold 1. The majority of the Smurfs are the same previously mentioned DPS players. Majority of the player base i.e., the casuals are in those lobbies and they are going against Cel 1 peak Spiderman, Back Cat, Hela, Elsa or Black Panther. There are no bans to ban the usual suspect Smurf character until you get to Gold. Then you get fucked by the double bans. There are no requirements for the new players to learn the game before joining ranked or to stop Smurfs.

On top of all of this you have throwers that have been throwing for 200 games and getting 15 minute bans.

You might have noticed that I have yet to mention a single thing about character balance regarding low Elo and casual play. That's because it doesn't fucking matter. Our enjoyment is not ruined by the balance but the lack of quality of life. Even then a character that is performing really well in low elo like Moonknight in previous seasons was continuously buffed. A character that every casual complaint about was buffed to a point where he was played in Ignite. The balance doesn't make sense to me or affect me as a casual player.

The only balance that is noticeable is Ult charge rate.

I am not saying to balance this game exclusively around high Elo or pro play because as Trqstme said no pro team agrees on the same balance approach. That is a different subject. So please stop saying this game is balanced for low Elo or Casual players to justify the horrible state of this game. I have yet to see dive meta in gold besides the Smurf dive DPS, even though we had two seasons of dive. As a Tank player I had to beg my DPS to play a dive DPS when I was learning Cap and Venom. I have yet to see Mantis in my games even though she is the most broken character or to play with/against a true gold Black Panther.

This might sound moronic but I believe that this game is balanced for the developer team, so they can pump out as much content as fast they can. Then they can keep making money and keep up the engagement without addressing the actual problems of this game.
