Thank you to the stranger motorcyclists who stayed with me when I crashed.

Friday evening of the 25th i was in a severe motorcycle crash on the highway in Vienna. I'm not from this country and my german is very limited but a motorcyclist who I've never met before stopped and stayed with me as I was laying on the road woth my leg crush. He spoke to me in English and kept me calm and got my bike off the middle of the road. I didnt get his name or see what bike he was riding since everthing was so chaotic but I want to thank him sincerely. Idk if he uses reddit or not but I hope he finds this somehow and knows I'll never forget his kindness and the time he took to help me until emergency services arrived.

Is this normal? Can/should I "tighten it up"?

Had a completely different type of bike (Susuki 650 rs) that didnt do this but I was told this can be normal for this kind of bike.

I need help figuring this out :exploding weld when filler rod is added

I'm TIG welding this peice of stainless steel and I'm using the arc to heat it up (which is taking longer than usual and is making the arc a more vibrant blue) and when it start a puddle going as soon as I add filler rod (2mm AUST 316L) the whole thing pops and sends beads of molten metal everywhere. I dont have much experience and I've never seen this before.

Is this normal?

I just bought a new Cheif Bobber Dark Horse 2024 and the check engine light has been on since I drove it home from the dealership. It has less that 63km on it so there shouldn't be an issue right away I would think. I didnt check to see if there was a light when I started driving it away from the dealership but I noticed the light less than 20km into my drive.

Some notes

• it had time to warm up before I drove it (appropriately 1 minute)

• I don't drive it hard whatsoever, was very gentle with my new bike.

• I didnt rev it just to hear it make noise at all

• max speed was 130kmh (75mph) for approximately 12km with normal smooth acceleration

I'm a first time buyer of this sort of bike so any help is greatly appreciated.

CMV: Those that are found to be incapable to stand trial due to insanity/mental ineptitude for violent crimes should be executed.

Many times over we have seen people do the worst acts possible by a human and then eventually be sent back into society only for them to cause more harm. It is a never ending cycle that can only be stopped permanently removing them from the general populous.

While there are those that are of sound mind that commit similar acts, there is at least a chance that they can change, be reformed, or acknowledge the weight of their actions and the corresponding punishment. Those that are proven to be unable to recognize the depravity of what they have done will almost certainly reoffend hurt even more innocent people.

To say we should just lock them up for life is not a real solution. Doing so only adds to a growing prison population, makes prisons even more dangerous, and costs normal law-abiding people millions over the lifetime that the unreformable will spend behind bars.

I would even argue that it would be more humane.

For explample, which would you prefer? To have them spend the rest of their life waiting to die of old age in a hostile prison/waiting for another inmate to kill them OR to end their suffering immediately and save the suffering of the many innocent they pose a threat to?

This post assumes that the insane person is guilty the crime. I also acknowledge that sentencing someone to death is an arduous process (which is something that also needs reform but that is a different conversation)

Edit: I should have specified what I meant by violent crime. I understand what the law considers a violent crime is too loose a term for the extreme measures I'm proposing. I'm referring to murder, rape, sexual assaults, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, and other such such crimes of that caliber.

CMV: Pride Parades either need to become more modest or be done away from the public view.

Time and time again I've witnessed people in pride parades wearing clothes and performing actions not suitable for children to be around. It looks more like a fetish show rather than an acceptance march.

Seeing grown adults in fetish gear walking out in the open, sex toys everywhere, and nudity all in an area where kids are expected to be should not be tolerated.

I've watch people wearing nothing more than beads take public transport (with children on board) to these events and we're supposed to act like this is acceptable purely because it's for 'Pride'?

If people want that then it can happen away from the general public in a place where only adults are allowed. Or it can be restricted to appropriate attire/actions and be allowed in the public square where it usually happens.
