A zombie apocalypse series for the Vertical Generation! We're 10 episodes into the series and having the most fun creating it. We need more horror/action series in the Vertical Drama/Webseries space 🍿
This one is one for the books. How a major studio gave Alex Winter $13 million dollars in 1993 to make this wild, over the top no holds barred cult film is still a mystery, but I'm glad they did. Freaked is a smorgasbord of some of the very best practical monster effects ever seen on film. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out above. This movie is the very definition of 'cult cinema'
I think this one might have potential. Anyone else like the idea?
We've all had one night stands in our lives but sometimes they reveal more about a person than they should!
Nice to see the verticals starting to embrace ALL genres 👌👌👌😂 For those of you that don't know a "Parktown Prawn" is a mutated king cricket that exists only in Johannesburg. They are real creatures - just not THIS BIG.
A pierced and tattooed sadist, Captain Howdy, trolls the Internet for naive teens, luring them to his home to torture and defile them. When Howdy kidnaps and tortures the daughter of police Detective Mike Gage, he is caught. Deemed insane, he is sent to an asylum but is released soon after, seemingly better. However, Gage knows it is only a matter of time before Howdy strikes again, and he's ready to unleash his own form of retribution when the time comes.
This one might be newer but it still definitely qualifies as grindhouse cinema. It also features a fabulous turn from Dee Snider as Captain Howdy who seems to be relishing every second on screen!
Found this little slightly steamy gay short on Odysee, not sure if I used the right flair for it but I'm sure someone will let me know 😅
When the drag competition gets out of control
Here's one that's the very definition of a BAD movie but it's still a hell of a lot of fun. Made for a little under a million dollars it grossed 10, which I would say is a pretty good return on investment.
It's also Jennifer Aniston's big screen debut and of course Warwick Davis steals every scene he's in as the titular character. I'm pretty sure if you're a member of this subreddit you've seen it but in case you haven't feel free to check it out above and let me know what you think!
Here's a Charles Bronson slasher/thriller from 1983 that epitomises "Grindhouse" cinema. It's grimy, it's gritty and the killer just happens to be a young man running around naked killing people whilst they're having sex 😅 I mean that's Friday the 13th right there, just with a bit more of a 'highbrow' Cannon Films edge.
If you haven't seen this check it out above on Odysee. For all its flaws it's a solid little sex-thriller that's definitely adult viewing but actually very entertaining in a pulpy sort of way.
Let me know what y'all think 🤔
If you appreciate intimate, high-tension character dramas, we just dropped our latest short: Last Train.
Hey everyone,
Just sharing the next chapter since a few people checked out the premiere of Rejected Moon. Episode 2 just dropped, and things are getting even more intense with the pack dynamics after that campfire gathering.
Where do you guys think the story is actually heading from here? Drop your theories below! 👇
Here is the premiere episode of our new cyberpunk series called Vertigo. Let us know what you think of the pace, the structure and the animation 😊 and thanks for watching if you do.
I've been experimenting lately with how much narrative punch, tension, and character dynamic you can squeeze into a sub-30-second runtime using AI video workflows.
This little micro-thriller is titled "Accident". It follows two characters—Daniel and his partner driving through a rain-slicked night—where a bitter argument about trust and mistakes instantly turns into a life-or-death collision.
The Experiment:
Check out the video above, and I'd love to hear your feedback on how well the pacing works for a micro-short format!
Graduation Day is a complete anomaly. It's a super cheap rush job to cash in on the slasher boom in 1981. Shot for $200K and it did $26million at the box office back then - I'd consider that a pretty good return on investment.
It's by no means an amazing film but it does have certain creative flourishes and it definitely captures that sleazy early 80's slasher vibe. Now it's a bump in film history and has been mostly relegated to the sidelines of slasher history but it's definitely worth a viewing.
This has to be the very weirdest film in the Howling cannon of oddities. It's obviously made on the cheap but there's something undeniably appealing about it and I hate to admit it but I had quite a good time with this one. Your Thoughts?
We are just days away from the premiere, and I'm thrilled to share the official trailer for our new cyberpunk animated series, Vertigo.
