Can a derm please translate what this description of surgery means?

Complex repair was performed because extensive undermining required. Extensive wide undermining was

performed. Extensive undermining was performed to a distance of 1.5 cm (defect width perpendicular to closure is

1.5 cm) along the edge of the entire surgical defect. Hemostasis was achieved with aluminum chloride and

electrocautery. The deep subcutaneous tissue, superficial fascia and dermis were closed with 3-0 Vicryl.

Epidermal closure was achieved with 4-0 Nylon. Epidermal closure type: running. The final wound length was 3.7

cm. The repair was performed at the level of the adipose tissue. Antibiotic ointment + pressure dressing with telfa

were applied. I reviewed with the patient in detail post-care instructions.

The texture of these pencils is a core memory

Pretty sure the 'Screwball' grip was the only reason I actually liked doing homework.

Is the excision infected or healing properly? The right looks more red and looks puckered

Most recent pics first. Was done Wednesday. Day after surgery, in shower, bandage & incision got wet so ran an iodine soaked cotton swab over it and applied thick neosporin. Doing soap, water, polysporin with non-stick pad & oclusive bandage once daily since.
