The audio is awful, everyone is wearing AirPods, and there’s that weird blurred background everyone loves for some reason. I hate it. The worst is when you know that this is a rich person who can easily have a proper camera setup so just email the questions and have them answer with a nice camera and mic properly. I don’t need to see some conversational discussion to hear your chosen expert’s opinion

My fuck up wasn’t actually today but I literally don’t know when I fucked up so I will find out how expensive this mistake was tomorrow.

I usually take the bus to work since there is no free parking anywhere near where I work. Sometimes I need to get to work early and spending an extra 20-30 minutes using public transportation just isn’t worth it.

At some point last week I drove to work and apparently forgot about that then took the bus home like usual. I’m really hoping it was Thursday since I know it wasn’t Friday. I was on a trip all weekend and I didn’t go to work today so I only found out about this when I saw my car’s AirTag was still at work because I wanted to pick up some groceries for the week.

The reason I’m so concerned about when I did this is because the only parking options near where I work are about $20 per 24hr day. If I drove to work on Thursday, that’s about $100, Wednesday, $120, Tuesday, $140, etc.

The absolute minimum cost for today is literally going to be more money than I spend on parking for a 4-6 week span so yeah I’m not happy today.

TLDR: I left my car at work some time last week and it’s gonna cost me $100-$150 to drive it out of the garage tomorrow when I return to work.

Like you can say that $1 USD is like 160¥ and an American tourist can buy so much Japanese stuff because it’s so cheap with the currency exchange, but Japanese wages are super low when converted to USD. Shouldn’t the exchange rate balance that out better?

I know that fancy people who make speeches all the time do annotations to make it easier to read and say out loud. I’ve heard that people underline in specific ways or bold text or something.

Every time I try to look up speech annotation it’s all just for reading comprehension or for an English lit class. A billion people have read speeches, someone has to have posted a guide somewhere on how to do it well.

My biggest issue is that I’m glued to the page. I’m planing on memorizing some lines to look at the audience but when I come back to the page, I get lost which makes me want to stare at the page even more.

Also I struggle with where to emphasize different parts of the sentence like I’ll say a verb like it’s a noun because there’s a lot of technical jargon and I’m just messing up the flow of the sentences. Or I’ll miss a period and flow into the next step fence like it’s the previous and now everything sounds janky

It’s been months since my teeth have met normally in the back and it’s particularly bad right now as I’m waiting for refinements. I just had a meal where I spent the whole time chewing by shoving food into my teeth with my tongue. My jaw is so tired and it’s literally been sore nonstop since I started in October of last year.

I’m getting a lot of mixed signals.

Negative responses:

- airplane ears

- flicking tail a bit side to side

- if I pat her too hard/too long she’ll “bite” me. No actual damage happens but she opens her mouth and puts it on my arm.

Positive responses:

- purring like an engine

- if I’m patting with my right hand, she’s head butting my left with fervor

- when I stop she does not leave or even look offended. She just head butts and stares with intent

- she gets really cuddle-y when I pat her. Like she body slams into my leg or she rolls over for belly rubs quicker

Mystery-quality responses:

- she screams but she screams all the time and it’s not necessarily a bad thing. She’s just a talker

- tail sometimes sticks straight up and is twitchy.

Has anyone successfully gotten an anti vaccine, anti modern medicine, anti science person to get a shot?

My grandma got bit by her untrained food aggressive dachshund and when we (family) told her to go get a a tetanus shot she just ignored us and said “changing the subject! 🥰” and started talking about some other BS.

I don’t want my grandma to die of something so stupidly treatable.
