So I became forever+lucky friends with this level 46 girl and remote tagged pokemon were looking strange. first 3 were good shiny (incl. some rare costume shiny) followed by a legendary but others were not at all remote trade worthy. Then I noticed ZAC IAN (the first letters of the pokemon when ordered by pokedex#^
For me it seems like she is asking me to trade a zacian. What do you think? can it just a coincidence?
FYI, I removed all my pokemon from remote tags and put only zacian in it to see if my guess is right. Also no response on Campfire.
I am soo greatful for Jay813286 who sent me gift which made me open the app at the right time at right place.
So if you are seeing this, Thanks a lot
I have suffered, got frustrated & became irritated more times than i can count because I was mostly always part of niantic's A/B testing. whether it's variable lure box issue, buggy UI issues, unfair losses in pvp, ugly resolution issues... you name it i've experience them all. Hell I might have repoted more bugs than their internal testing team (who am i kidding, they don't have such a thing).
But, what hurts me most is while my account have been their test environment for a good part of a decade, they choose not to bestow me with the virtual auto catcher. it just creams my corns.
I am not very fond of Super mega raids where we have to have min X people to defeat and they need to play right to contribute to the base number. Dragonite raids were disappointing. Malamar/Victrebell were okay with some flaws. Falinks Raid day was not reat either except for the fact that raid passes could be used on literally any other pokemon raids. But today's Skarmony raids are 100 times better than all other raids.
These are some that I loved.
All in all a peaceful event for this weekend. And I also want to know if it was just for me or others (those who were traumatized by the earlier super raids) also found this event better and maybe slighly enjoyable.

Mega Skarmony caught from Super Mega Raids have mega level unlocked.
I skipped a first few (non shiny/hundo) to save time, hope you know better.
Good luck and DON'T be me
I am starting to hate this new UI.
Rolled back and forth for the 4th time, yet still same issues persist.
At this point i'm starting to wonder if it's just happening to me?
Also I clicked that calendar icon 4 times in last 2 hours accidentally but I'm always forgetting to click on calendar icon to see event bonuses and instead go straight to today.
Terrible experience. I really wish they stick to one design without changing it again and again...
The one thing I loved about super radars is being taken away.
Dear Scopely, isn't it enough that you already removed stackable taken over researches? You had to take away this too ???
Back in 2022, I had a really old pokemon go friend who used to open/send gifts to me every day for almost 6 months. The only problem with him was he used to suddenly stop interacting at 1 interaction away from a friendship level up. he made me wait 2 weeks for level 1-> 2. around 3 months for level 2->3 and freaking 2+ years for him to reach best buddies with me (he finally opened that gift just few days before forever friends update came). I wanted to rage unfriend him a lot of times, but I knew he does the same thing for hundreds of people (for some reason he tries to hoard lot of XP even after he hit max level). so he might not even notice if i unfriended him.
I tried to force interaction through many ways like stalking if he in a raid (he turned it off), inviting to very rare regional raids (he never joined), and i even tried to buy him a CD event ticket to force that interaction (he even turned it off to not let anyone buy him anything). So when the forever friend level was unlocked, i started passively grinding with him, invited to weekly challenges and reached 179 hearts about 2 months back. as expected he held onto the last gift again. But he just opened my last gift few hours back.
My evil revenge plan was to annoy him to death by spamming his account with remote trade requests and decline it when he selects his pokemon.
But here's what happened.
I was online when he opened my last gift. I had gotten the notification of XP, i used the lucky egg. I spent about 5mins collecting my unclaimed XP from research tasks and go pass.
Just 5mins later, I came back to friendlist, searched his ign. "No Results...."
Turns out he unfriended me immediately after getting that XP. 😢
I waited for 4 years, and I'm left with just 300k XP and a lot more frustration.
Moral: Dear fellow players, always grind friendship with real people whom you can contact outside the game. Don't spend long time and big efforts on someone random who might totally different prioroties than you.
FYI, This is not a rant, Just sharing it so some of you can get a laugh out of it.

Hey everyone,
I want to talk about the current state of this subreddit because it feels like we are reaching a boiling point between the active veteran playerbase and newer/casual players. The vibe has gotten incredibly hostile, and it's creating a negative experience for everyone involved (As far as i could see).
Firstly I'll cover the Veteran (older/serious playerbase) angle: I completely understand why the active playerbase is losing their patience (myself included). Logging onto the sub and seeing the exact same question posted dozens of times in a single hour ( like "Why are there so many of Swinub?" from yesterday, "Is my game bugged?") is genuinely annoying. It clogs up the feed and burries some meaningful discussions, cool pokemon, and actually worthy in-game news (like the news of Road of Legends).
But I feel extremely wrong to blame the whole thing on casuals/new players. If we take the angle of person new to the sub posting the common question**:** they are getting immense internet shaming for not knowing some basic stuff like spotlight hours. It's completely unacceptable imo. For people who started playing recently, it's a totally new thing. we also have to remember that this game has a massive, diverse playerbase including kids, older folks, and brand new players who don't religiously check the in-game news tab or follow gaming blogs. It's elitist of us to assume everyone playing the game should show the same level of dedication as us. Throwing insults, calling people "smooth-brained," and dogpiling on them for asking a simple question is immature.
At the end of the day, it's just a game. We shouldn't be bullying people out of the community over a missed notification or their casual style of gameplay.
So why am I adding one more post to the pile? I think this isn't just a player behavior problem; it's a system problem.
I know these got released multiple times, but as a person who didnot understand their value at their debut, I have lot of catching uup to do.
Super excited for the Crowned Zacian/Zamazenta above all else. Finally my max team can get the upgrade it deserved.
I am not looking for an accurate answer, but just want to hear what people are thinking. I for one think they will not be rotated again (like malamar, victrebell, dragonite, etc...) until atleast all the non-legendary ones are debuted. Based on your experience with Niantic's way of doing things in pokemon go, what do you believe?
I got 25 Rare candy XLs from just using my stocked up max particles (~4000ish max particles when started). All by doing solo roggenrola 1* raids.
And if I just stock up do my daily 2km walks and collect 300max particles a day, I can get 10more free xl candies again next week.
PS: For newer and casual audience, XL candies are one of the, if not the, most rare & important resource as you progress in the game. Use it wisely and don't miss chance like these to farm them for free.
Also some people are getting 0 Rare candy XLs in their rewards screen which is a bug, they are actually getting credited with 1 Rare candy XL per match. I strongly recommend doing 1* max battles as they provide most rare candy xls/max particles used. And Roggenrola is currently best dynamax rock type attacker, so it's candy and xl candy is very useful. just focusing on roggenrola raids is the best and easy way to get rare xls
Again, if you are from UK / US or other timezones where it's still not 9PM yet, do try to use all your mp to convert them into xl candies. From past experiences I can tell this bonus is not gonna stay for long.

To summarise it, there is a theory that the lucky friend trigger is lot more likely for Trainer battles interactions than it is for say gym battle / pokemon trade. I am surprised to see this because I never thought trainer battle would have same chance as other interactions much less Highest chance, because that is the only option that one can do without a daily limit like opening/sending gifts or trading and can be triggered easily with remote friends too. I know it only works on the first interaction of the day anyway, but it's crazy to think that choosing a battle gives you a statistically better shot than opening a gift. And if it's the case why don't people do it more often :?
Been wanting to get hands on shiny midnight form from years. Finally I think i can grind. Hope I could get one in research so i could skip the raids....
I really like RSVP concept. It's not perfect but is a seriously huge upgrade for local coordination. And these are some of my ideas to make RSVPs even more useful.
People should be able to invite 10 people at least.
People should have option to Decline RSVP / Going / Maybe from invite. Once declined, they should not be inviteable again for same raid.
Option to Snooze Invites (Any requests received will be auto declined for specific time)
When a person invites 10 people and 9 of them decline, they should be able to invite 9 more people woitout cancelling and re-entering and re-inviting.
Max battles (atleast 5* and GMAX) should bring back the RSVP (with bug fixes).
Integration of campfire with RSVP teams. would be really great if we could chat up with RSVP team. like say 4 of the locals are in a rsvp for 11:30 slot for a primal groudon, you wanna join but can't make it at 11:30 and want to move it to 11:45. chat would be really good because those 4 would likely want 5 people in lobby too and be willing to delay their slot by 15mins.
these are just some of the things i really wish to see implemented someday. and feel free to add your ideas or share your thoughts if u feel mine are unrealistic/counter productive.
