Xtep 2000km 5.0 Running Shoes

So I’ve seen several social media posts about the Chinese running shoe which are allegedly on par with some of the well known brands (Nike/Adidas/Asics etc).

Has anyone got a pair, or similar and able to give an honest review?
Given the price I’m tempted to give a pair a shot

Dog guard/boot tether for incoming dog

I have a 2023 Model Y.

My wife and I are in the process of getting a dog.
Id love some real work recommendations for dog guards to prevent the dog coming through from the boot in to where passengers will be, and also a decent tether/crate…whatever really to make sure the dog is secure in the boot.

Dog can sometimes be in the rear seats with a seatbelt to collar clip, but when children are in the car he’ll have to be in the boots.

Thanks in advance!

Tesla widget is now an empty box

As per the title.
The widget worked absolutely fine yesterday. Went to to bed and woke up to an empty box of nothingness.
When i open the app, its working with no issues.
A frustrating bug which seems to have popped up overnight for no real reason.
This is on 17 pro max
Anyone else seeing the same problem?

Charge on solar

My set up at home is solar with a powerwall 3 and a 23 plate standard range model Y and also have a hypervolt 3 pro charger.

I use the intelligent octopus go electric tariff for charging the car.

Once the powerwall is charged off the solar, I’ll switch the charge from solar option on within the Tesla app.
It seems to work, however what I don’t understand is (see image) why so much power is being pushed to the grid instead of the car.

I can’t adjust the amp slider on the Tesla app to a higher setting, it’s seems to be stuck on or around 14 amps.
The hypervolt app is set to the full 32 amps for the charging schedule to make sure electric isn’t restricted to the car.
Can someone explain where maybe I’ve gone wrong here?
Happy to export when I’m not at home, but when I’m here I’d like the excess solar in to the car.

Cheers.

Best and most useful accessories

Pick up a second hand model Y on Monday.
What have people picked up for the car which has been a game changer for making life easier with the car.
Phone holders, car mats….anything.
Not sure if it makes a difference what age/model the car is, but it’s a standard range RWD on a 23 plate.

Second hand collection day

I’m in the process of sorting a second hand model Y direct from Tesla.
I’m waiting on part ex valuation then can move forward.

When it comes to collection, I assume (rather, I hope) the car comes charged as I’ll have an 80 mile drive home.

Anything else worth knowing for collection?

Part exchange questions

Looking at part exchanging my Skoda Octavia for a standard range rear wheel drive model Y on the 0% PCP.
It could be well a stupid question, but if you don’t ask you won’t find out, but once the part exchange price is given, I would assume it’s honoured due to the wait times for the Tesla to arrive as I’ll still need my car for general life admin.

What I don’t want to do is agree a part exchange value, sign the relevant paperwork and then have issues handing the car over later on down the line (I appreciate that if the car is destroyed etc within that time it changes the picture).

A lot of car or a lot of problems??

Whilst having a look around with the filters I have in Autotrader for a second hand Tesla, this has popped up.
I appreciate the risks that come with buying privately rather than through a dealership….but:

I don’t know much about the model x so anyone with a similar year and model, I’d appreciate some honest reviews. I’ve watched some videos online about potential issues with air suspension and knocking noises from the steering upon acceleration or full lock turning.

For what I’m looking for (family suv) this fits the bill quite nicely, more so with 88k on the clock it seems alright 🤷‍♂️

Cheers.

Is it worth it??

Heart set on a second hand model 3.
I’ll need a bigger battery owing to my job and the mileage I can cover in a day and no charging facilities at work (at times it can be 150 miles so would rather not risk it).
The following is for sale fairly close to me.
It has everything I’d need and can use it on my days off to ferry kids to school and poodle around town.
I have a granny charger for my wife’s plug in hybrid combined with solar and a power wall 3, but will be getting a home charger installed soon so I’m covered from that angle.

Thoughts on it if you’d be so kind.
88% state of charge/health doesn’t seem too bad to me.
Whilst I’m more than happy to get one direct from Tesla for the additional year’s warranty, this one seems…ok to me 🤷‍♂️
Please be honest and brutal.
Cheers.

Had panels and a power wall 3 with the inverter installed 5 days ago.
Solar is working absolutely fine during the day, it’s powering the house and seemingly charging the power wall.

I have the power wall set to kick in when the sun goes down, however the past few nights it’s done nothing at all and the app shows the battery still fully charged in the morning. On top of that, the Tesla app is showing that we’re drawing nothing from the grid or the battery once the sun is down, but clearly the power is coming from one of the 2.

I understand the battery takes a few days to learn your behaviours but thought it would kick in by now.

I’m waiting on relevant MPAN to throw at octopus to start exporting, so I know the battery setting is at self power.

Anyone able to offer some advice as to what I might be missing here?

Cheers.

I’m the final furlong of sorting an EV.
I’ve done my due diligence and know what I’ll need in terms of battery size etc.

whilst the model Y ticks all the boxes, so does a VW id 5.
I need a big boot due to still hiking the kids around and a saloon style isn’t an option due my wife’s hip having the same build quality as saw dust.

Can I hear from those who’ve not got a model Y, but have a similar sized EV and your experiences.

I don’t do long journeys where I’d need the super charger network. One trip a year which is 200 miles total where there’s a charger at the midway point not owned by Tesla.

Cheers.

Solar has gone up, power wall 3 installed, next on the list is to get the EV.

I love the look of the model Y, it suits life with the SUV due to kids and needing to lug stuff around.

I’ve had a good look around online for what I can get for my budget. Autotrader has a fair few under the £21500 I’ve given myself. Whilst Tesla direct doesn’t have many for that budget, I’d be willing to go slightly over due to the warranty that comes directly with them.

Just after some real world examples of purchasing from both Tesla and from second hand dealers.

Is one better than the other?

What to really check for with dealerships over Tesla etc.

Cheers!

Edit: if anyone can give details of a good and reliable dealership to look at I’m open to travelling to collect from West Sussex
