A lot of car or a lot of problems??

A lot of car or a lot of problems??

Whilst having a look around with the filters I have in Autotrader for a second hand Tesla, this has popped up.
I appreciate the risks that come with buying privately rather than through a dealership….but:

I don’t know much about the model x so anyone with a similar year and model, I’d appreciate some honest reviews. I’ve watched some videos online about potential issues with air suspension and knocking noises from the steering upon acceleration or full lock turning.

For what I’m looking for (family suv) this fits the bill quite nicely, more so with 88k on the clock it seems alright 🤷‍♂️

Cheers.

Is it worth it??

Heart set on a second hand model 3.
I’ll need a bigger battery owing to my job and the mileage I can cover in a day and no charging facilities at work (at times it can be 150 miles so would rather not risk it).
The following is for sale fairly close to me.
It has everything I’d need and can use it on my days off to ferry kids to school and poodle around town.
I have a granny charger for my wife’s plug in hybrid combined with solar and a power wall 3, but will be getting a home charger installed soon so I’m covered from that angle.

Thoughts on it if you’d be so kind.
88% state of charge/health doesn’t seem too bad to me.
Whilst I’m more than happy to get one direct from Tesla for the additional year’s warranty, this one seems…ok to me 🤷‍♂️
Please be honest and brutal.
Cheers.

Had panels and a power wall 3 with the inverter installed 5 days ago.
Solar is working absolutely fine during the day, it’s powering the house and seemingly charging the power wall.

I have the power wall set to kick in when the sun goes down, however the past few nights it’s done nothing at all and the app shows the battery still fully charged in the morning. On top of that, the Tesla app is showing that we’re drawing nothing from the grid or the battery once the sun is down, but clearly the power is coming from one of the 2.

I understand the battery takes a few days to learn your behaviours but thought it would kick in by now.

I’m waiting on relevant MPAN to throw at octopus to start exporting, so I know the battery setting is at self power.

Anyone able to offer some advice as to what I might be missing here?

Cheers.

I’m the final furlong of sorting an EV.
I’ve done my due diligence and know what I’ll need in terms of battery size etc.

whilst the model Y ticks all the boxes, so does a VW id 5.
I need a big boot due to still hiking the kids around and a saloon style isn’t an option due my wife’s hip having the same build quality as saw dust.

Can I hear from those who’ve not got a model Y, but have a similar sized EV and your experiences.

I don’t do long journeys where I’d need the super charger network. One trip a year which is 200 miles total where there’s a charger at the midway point not owned by Tesla.

Cheers.

Solar has gone up, power wall 3 installed, next on the list is to get the EV.

I love the look of the model Y, it suits life with the SUV due to kids and needing to lug stuff around.

I’ve had a good look around online for what I can get for my budget. Autotrader has a fair few under the £21500 I’ve given myself. Whilst Tesla direct doesn’t have many for that budget, I’d be willing to go slightly over due to the warranty that comes directly with them.

Just after some real world examples of purchasing from both Tesla and from second hand dealers.

Is one better than the other?

What to really check for with dealerships over Tesla etc.

Cheers!

Edit: if anyone can give details of a good and reliable dealership to look at I’m open to travelling to collect from West Sussex
