Came out to my children last night, and I can't be more happy!

I came out to my children last night, and they've accepted me! I'm soooooo happy!!! I'm 49 and my egg recently cracked. One of my biggest fears (probably one that's the same for most of you) is not being accepted by your family. So it took a lot of prepping to get myself ready for that moment. Suffice it to say, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders since my kids are the most important things in my life. Having their acceptance and support, I'm feeling happiness like I've never felt before in my entire life. I haven't come out to the rest of the family (except my brother, he was the first), but this definitely gave me a huge confidence boost that things might turn out well.

Gender dysphoria more intense the more I explore my gender identity?

I started exploring my gender identity a few months ago, having to suppress feelings for most of my life. As I'm learning more about myself, it's getting harder and harder to look at myself in the mirror. I'm not at the point where I feel disgusted, but I'm afraid it's going to reach that point.

Is this normal for people who's exploring/questioning?

My IPL hair removal journey (7 weeks in with Braun Silk Expert Pro 5)

Pictures are of one week after my 7th weekly treatment using the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5. Few stubble on my thighs when I run my hand over the skin, none on my calves, armpits, and stomach. Pubic/intimate areas do still grow, but considerably slower and less hair overall. I'm extremely pleased with the results so far.

I started IPL because at-home waxing was just too frustating and messy, having to go over areas multiple times due to it not getting all of the hairs sometimes it's just a sticky mess. I looked into depilatory creams like Nair and Veet, but didn't want to risk chemical burns and since I have a pretty high pain tolerance, ultimately chose IPL.

My routine:

I shave immediately prior to IPL. I shave in the shower and really take my time. I make sure I don't feel any stubble when I run my hand over the skin. If I do, I go over the area again. I use slight pressure and go slow over the denser areas like the armpits and public area. I shave in all four directions in these areas to get all of the hairs. You can sort of tell when you're done if you don't hear the scratchy sandpaper-like sound when you run the shaver over the area. I use the Amazon Basics 5-Blade MotionSphere Men's Razor with Dual Lubrication razer, and switch out the blade every 2-3 shaving sessions.

I go slow as well during IPL, making sure I cover every spot. It does take considerably more time, but I just put something on TV to pass the time. For my intimate areas (genital, perineal, bikini) which has a darker skin tone, I've used baby powder to lighten the skin so the device will allow me to activate easier. I use the highest setting everywhere.

I use CeraVe moisturizing lotion right after IPL to protect the skin. During the week, I exfoliate 2 to 3 times a week with a loofah and lotion after. I don't use any products with acids in it.

Grande Baselard custom color WIP

Finally finished half of my Grande Baselard kit. Went with midnight blue metallic for main color with dark blue, gold, silver, and chrome accents. The arms and gloves has a coat of micropearl, but it doesn't really show in the pictures. On to the back pack!

Has anyone tried both the Kaleido Semi-gloss varnish and the Satin varnish from Vallejo? I have the Vallejo one but it's a bit too matte. How does the Kaleido Semi-gloss compare?
