bio 30 in grade 11

I totally understand others have asked almost this exact question but just curious. My first semester has math 20-1 and bio 20 along with 2 electives. My second is chem 20 and english 20-1 with 1 elective and a spare. (i took social in the summer). I’m wondering how people’s experiences have been taking a 30 level class in grade 11 and how it affects university admission. Main reason i’d take bio 30 is to clear up space in my schedule for calculus in grade 12.

I’m aiming to apply for biology at the beginning of next year but i’m slightly worried that having a harder class will cause my 20 level grades to drop. Any insight on how it’s affected anyone’s grades or admission to university?

Options for support with children sports payment ALBERTA

Hi everyone, my mom currently receives CCB and alberta works and I play hockey. I am trying to help her out as i’m not sure we have the funds to pay for my registration so does anyone know any resources for support with payment? I know about kids sport and jumpstart and whatnot but not totally sure how they work. If anyone could provide some insight i’d really appreciate it. Thank you

Rotator cuff/scapular stability exercises

Around 9 months ago I had grade 2 ac joint sprain. Not looking for medical help but I still find I have achy pain when shoulder pressing heavy and often on lat pull downs my rotator cuff gives out before my lats on the affected side. I’ve been doing many IR and ER along with upper back exercises for around two months now but not sure what to do about it at this point. It’s really affecting my lifting especially pushing and i’m barely making progress. Pretty sure it can be blamed on my stabilizing muscles so i’m wondering if anyone has any exercises that helped them with shoulder pain at all? Thank you, any response is greatly appreciated

Does costco still get pokemon?

I saw a post about this earlier in this subreddit but still not sure. i’m trying to buy some for my little brother and even get some for myself for the fun of it but I literally haven’t seen them in store for the past two years. Not sure if scalpers are going crazy or they just restock that infrequently. If anyone knows please let me know. Thank you

Struggling with upper back

I heavily struggle to hit my upper back well whether it’s t bar or overhand cable rows I just don’t get sore from it. I try to lower the weight but then i don’t hit failure and if i up the weight i feel absolutely nothing. Not sure if it matters at all but i’ve sustained a shoulder injury in the past year. It’s very easily my weakest muscle group and I’d appreciate any tips/cues to active my upper back better.

Summer teen plan enforcement

Hi, I am 16m and i’ve been going to the gym consistently for around a year. However I want a gym that’s closer to my house and easier to get to for the summer. I’m wondering if anyone knows if the rules on benching and squatting with barbells is enforced with the free teen summer plan? I know how to properly bench and squat with good form and without ego lifting so i’m wondering if the employees will allow me to if done properly. Thanks

Bear Spray Regulations

Hi everyone,

I am based in Calgary and planning to hike a few times this summer. I am just wondering if anyone knows the rules on who can possess bear spray?

Me along with all of my friends are not yet 18 years old so I am unsure if we are permitted to purchase or possess bear spray without an adult present, even while hiking.

We are only interested for protection purposes against bears and will most likely be in kananaskis so if the rules apply differently there please let me know. Thanks!

Looking for a hike with a beautiful view

Me and my friends have recently wanted to get into hiking. We all play sports and go to the gym so we are all relatively athletic. That being said, we have no hiking experience and I was wondering if there are any good uphill hikes that don’t have any crazy scrambles or need for hiking skill and have a beautiful view at the top. I was looking at sarrail ridge but the reviews are making me think twice. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
