Canadian Shipping Company options

I’m looking for options to ship from Canada. I’ve been using Easy Ship but they’re now requiring copies of my ID to store in the US (rather than just verifying identity and destroying like all the safer places do). I can’t trust this type of service anymore.
I ship about 10 packages a month and do not want to prepay the US tariffs.
In the past there were other 3rd party shipping companies suggested and I can’t find those threads.
Chitchats is far from me so that’s not a great option either.
What do you suggest?
TLDR- looking for names of 3rd party shipping companies that can integrate into Shopify that don’t require prepayment of US tariffs for shipping from Canada to the US.

TD or Amex

I’m torn between these two options and looking for advice.
I travel a lot for work (self employed) and would open a new business credit card account.

My 2 goals are to raise my Air Canada status and to have access to the lounges (ideally worldwide where available).

The AMEX is $599. Can someone confirm that truly includes unlimited access to AC/ StarAlliance lounges worldwide?

I’m a bit concerned that restaurants won’t take the Amex worldwide whereas I’ve always had a Visa accepted. Has anyone had issues with this?

I tried reading up on the TD visa and if I’m understanding correctly, you only get one lounge pass for every $10,000 spent and they’re only loaded yearly (and expire yearly). Do I have this correct?

I’ve been reading through the websites but I still feel I could use some opinions on which of the two options would be better for my goals of occasional lounge access plus increased AC status.

Happy to hear your opinions. Thanks.

Noise issue solved

Just saw this posted from Councillor Glen Gower’s office and figured it might be related to the nighttime noise mentioned previously in this group. At the very least, it’s interesting.
———————

UPDATE: We’ve received many inquiries from residents about overnight noise in the northern part of Stittsville, north of Hazeldean Road and the Carp Road area.

It was a bit of a mystery: there is no overnight construction work underway, or any noise by-law exemptions that we are aware of in Stittsville. By-law was engaged and my team contacted local industrial businesses, government agencies, and city departments to see if we could find the source.

But it appears we now have an answer. We’re reasonably certain it was related to the West Carleton Environmental Centre landfill site on Carp Road. Waste Management says that they use a propane cannon to deter birds during operating hours. The equipment is timer-controlled and designed to produce brief, occasional noise bursts during the day, shutting off at the end of operating hours. It’s not typically deployed overnight.

But it appears the timer recently malfunctioned, resulting in noise occurring after hours. The equipment has since been manually shut off, and the staff are currently investigating the cause of the timer malfunction. They’re going to keep that equipment offline until they are confident it will operate correctly.

Residents should have a quieter night this evening. We encourage residents to report any excessive noise by calling 3-1-1. Operators will be able to take down your location, the time that you hear the noise, and any other description that may help identify the source.

Thank you!
