I recently bought this SLQ. It’s in a NGC slab and is graded VF 35. Everything lines up with online verify, although the listing doesn’t have a photo.

When I got my hands on it, I was surprised to see it has a black line running across the front, through the 9 to up near the Y in Liberty. It only stands out a certain angles. My second photo shows it better. I’m pretty sure it’s on the coin itself, not the plastic.

I’m wondering—could a marking like this result in a details grade? Essentially—did we get lucky this time, and a different grader might have decided details? Or is the line just part of the package that makes it an XF35?

The S on this Buffalo Nickel doesn’t match any 1931s that I’ve seen online. I don’t have much experience with Buffalos, does this one seem off to you? Does the S mint mark look like this sometimes? The coin weighs 5 grams.

I looking closely at this 1895O Morgan. Nothing seems untoward about it, except the E in “e pluribus.” The other Es look normal. Do you think this was caused by damage? Could it mean it’s a fake? The coin is in a PCS slab.

My son took our 2007 RAV4 in today, as you can see in the report, you have to press down the pedal a bit before the car starts to stop. Would replacing calipers be a potential fix? It looks like they quoted him for new brakes, but not for the caliper? Is replacing the caliper a DIY job? I replaced a head gasket recently, so I’m not completely helpless, so just wondering how difficult this would be.

Edit: thanks for all the responses; as many of you have guessed, it's a valve cover gasket that I've replaced, not a head gasket. This job does sound doable, so I'm going to start watching videos.

One question that hasn't been answered in the replies: would these changes deal with the pedal having to be pushed so far?

This door is locked. The key turns in the lock, but nothing engages, and the door stays locked. Any ideas about how to remove it from the outside? Thanks in advance!
