CMS Level 2 Service Exam Tips

I know this question has been asked before but I wanted some current insight.

I saw in other threads that people got obscure questions from the MS like naming multiple Barossa Valley producers, rating New Zealand vintages, etc.

I’m less than a few weeks from my exam, so these types of random specific questions are concerning to me because I can’t imagine memorizing all the producers and vintages for these non-classic regions at this point in my preparation. Are people still encountering these types of questions on level 2?

And if so, what’s the best way to navigate if it’s something I totally don’t know? For example, if they asked about the 2020 Marlborough vintage and I don’t know can I still say I’ll check with my other sommelier/wine director etc?

And in general, what percentage of questions can you “get wrong” or not know and still pass service?

6 month mark at new job. Burnt out already

Today marks my 6th month at a new job following a big relocation and career pivot.

I enjoy the type of work that I do. But I am fed up with all the politics at my company. The culture is toxic with everyone out for themselves. The performance expectations are very high so I constantly feel like I’m scrambling to keep up.

I know people will probably say “just apply to a different company” but it’s not that simple, as I’m in a smallish town and not looking to relocate again. Opportunities will come along in the future, but it’s not something I can do overnight.

I’m planning to take a long vacation in October, but I still have almost 2 months to go until then. Any advice on how to make this any more bearable?

How to date an introvert?

Calling all introverts, I need advice. I (28F) am extroverted AF.

My partner (27M) is extremely introverted. He gets overwhelmed easily by having too many things scheduled. He rarely wants to plan dates ahead of time, as it usually depends on how he in the moment. He doesn’t like having sleepovers because he says it impacts his sleep schedule and routine. We only see each other 1-2 times a week, which feels scarce.

I’m trying to give him alone time, but I also want to deepen our connection and progress our relationship. We both care a lot about each other, so I don’t want to put him a situation where he’s uncomfortable.

Introverts, can you advise me on the best way to handle this?

Third spaces in Aspen?

I live in a very small apartment in town that I share with 2 roommates. The space has felt claustrophobic this summer so I’m looking for chill spots in town that will help me get out of the house.

Ideally, looking for suggestions that don’t involve physical activity (I already get enough of that)! So far I have tried the library, coffee shops, but looking for some other good third spaces. Bonus points if free/low cost!
