Okay so yesterday I (17NB) was hanging out with one of my friends (19F) at her dorm, and I have a very big crush on her. We like lots of the same things, have similar humour, do the same education and share classes half the time. We were sitting incredibly close against one another while talking and playing games, it was loads of fun.

We spent like 4 hours together so it was already 10 PM once I finally left. We live on the opposite side of the same street in different dorm complexes so we walked back to my dorm together and did our goodbyes. As we did, however, she gently poked me with the tip of her house keys in my sternum (the breast bone in between your ribs), jokingly saying "Oh look, it's like the key to your heart!"

It initially didn't dawn on me but I think she tried to flirt with me! I had already been dropping hints of liking her and complimenting her on her clothes and saying she's pretty a few times. I also invited her to come along with me to the prom (to which she answered "yes, of course") and to come along with me to the movie theatre soon. And it's also not the first time I've gotten hints from her side, though this is without a doubt the most obvious hint I got so far.

It's really fucking exciting for me and it's the first time I've ever had such a big crush on someone in real life, let alone on someone who might like me back as well! I'm going to take it slow, but I can't wait to see what the future holds. I feel like I might know an answer after prom, which is in a week already!

Btw, about the age gap: she's only 1.5 years older than me, and I'm turning 18 in 4 months. Just so you know.
