We picked up our trailseeker today. Had to go to the lake for lunch.
My wife and I have decided to buy a trailseeker and getting it about Aug. 25th. The dealer already has it coming.
I want to get the charger installed or at least plans to install it before then.
What do I need. 240v is not an issue as I have plenty of space in the circuit breaker box and the box is on the opposite side of the wall where the car will be parked.
What do I need to order?
Thanks for any guidance.
I have 2 questions:
First time doing Ross rounds for comb honey. I went to my local bee supply guy and purchased the top and bottom. I know I need to use a label to seal it. Is it normal for them to have a space between the top and bottom?
Customer came to me on Saturday with a 1 gallon pail and asked me to fill it. Said they usually get it filled from someone else for about $5/lb so $60. I’m in the Fingerlakes of NY. They came to me because I’m closer than the other beekeeper. Does that price sound reasonable?
Currently I have an 8 frame vevor extractor. It works and gets the job done but over the years I’ve gone from 4 hives to 30+ hives. I plan to pull honey supers and expect to have about 15 10 frame mediums. I average about 30 lbs of honey per super.
I’m thinking it’s about time to upgrade. Those that have gone through the growing pains what would you recommend? I’m also concerned about filtering. At this point I’m just using bucket filters. This could equate to about 45 gallons of honey.
My brother and I are going to Maine for a moose hunt this fall. He got selected for region 1 for a bull moose.
I’m going to need new boots. Been wearing mucks for 10+ years but they seem to separate from the tread and crack faster than I feel they should.
I mostly hunt (Fingerlakes of NY) for deer with bow, rifle and muzzleloader, pheasants, and turkey. I also will wear the boots for working on sap lines for maple season.
My neighbor was given this saw but doesn’t have a use for it. He asked if I wanted it.
It’s big, old and I’m not sure I have the room for it plus I already have a dewalt slide miter saw.
The radial arm saw would be able to do angles greater than 55 degrees but I see that as its only advantage.
Thoughts?
After 8 years of beekeeping a bear destroyed one of my hives.
I made a maple bbq sauce last year which I really enjoyed. I would like to make a big batch of it and can it so it is shelf stable.
What is the best way to can it so it is shelf stable?
It seems that every recipe that we use that calls for chipotle peppers in adobo sauce only calls for 1 pepper to be minced and a little sauce added in.
What do people do with the rest?
I have a 2018 Chevy truck with 56k miles. I noticed it has started to rust at the wheel well. What is the best thing I can do to stop this? Im in the finger lakes of NY.
Some one complained there are no recipe ideas. Well we made Chicken Bahn Mi this evening. The pickled veggies keep it light.
