Love is supposed to be smooth and warm you don’t to over analyze everything to understand what is happening. love doesn’t have to be complicated or hard to reach. If someone truly loves/likes you they will be direct and sincere and you will get the message clearly. You don’t need to think about what you said or what they said to comfort yourself. If they do not put you as a priority leave. You deserve to be a priority and you deserve someone to value you. Don’t be someone else Plan B or emergency plan. Being alone is better than analyzing mixed signal of someone barely interested in you.
I’ve noticed a lot of people in this subreddit seem to mix up having a crush with having an LO. Not every intense attraction or infatuation is necessarily limerence. Sometimes you just really like someone and think about them a lot. Limerence seems to involve a much more specific cycle of uncertainty, obsession, and emotional dependence. Crushes on other hand is just a strong attraction and desire and doesn’t involve emotional dependency.
I am a person who is interested in reading and learning our Islamic history. I bought and read a lot of books and watched a lot of videos of Islamic history from the beginning of the prophet dawat till our modern day. Nevertheless, I started to notice that the more I read the more I get depressed and sad for the amount of violence, suffering, and misery that is in our history. Since the assassination of our third Caliph our Ummah have never seen peace. Even the prophet companions who are supposed to be our prime example killed each other in many different situations. Moving on from The Umayyad caliphate till the ottomans you can see our history is filled with injustice and violence. To be frank I wouldn’t want to live in those times as a simple peasant as my life would be definitely miserable. I know that all of human history was miserable and probably the Islamic history was the least violence. However, we as muslims were supposed to be the guiding light for humanity, but we didn’t. Every time I read about the violence in our history I remember the quarnic verse:
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُوا أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
I don’t know how to process that thought and I feel lonely and depressed also I lost my interest in reading our history.
I mean yeah we have issue on human rights, equality, corruption, religious extremism, but how the fuck are you afraid of us when we got literally invaded by every country on this earth. You should be afraid of the US the country that killed millions of people, conducted countless war crimes and has that biggest amount of weapons arsenal under the control of lunatics. Yeah we also have a few lunatics who did bad things like 9/11, but don’t everybody have some lunatic who did some equal things?
