Why wasn’t Camera the third single?

I mean Rock Music was music, SS26 was fashion and Camera would’ve been film. It was perfect. Meanwhile I don’t really see what Wink Wink has to do with Film. It’s kinda weird. How do you guys make sense of that?

Edit:
So I guess I must not have phrased this the best possible way. I was just curious to know why you guys thought Wink Wink was chosen to be the third single when it feels, in my humble opinion, a bit counterintuitive. Of course if you disagree with that that’s completely okay and I’d love to hear why.
I’m also aware that it doesn’t impact the album listening experience in any way, if that wasn’t clear.

Yes and surge ?

I was just checking Ari’s spotify stats and realized yes and is currently getting almost 1,5M daily streams when the past few months it was usually getting about 500k. Does anyone know why that’s happening?

Thinking Bout You live?

Hey! I’ve been looking for a live performance of Thinking Bout You but all I can find are mediocre quality reccordings. Do you guys have a cleaner version of Ari singing that song? It would mean the world to me as I absolute ADORE listening to Ari’s live performances.

Nate’s sexual orientation

I rewatched the show right before season 3 aired and I can vividly remember Rue, as a narrator, saying « Nate was anrgy because he was discovering his sexuality and it scared him » or something along those words. I think it was in season 3. I’m not sure why him not being straight was retconed by the writers but I think it kinda sucks. I think it might have something to do with the fact that they dropped the Nate and Jules storyline because of Hunter and Jacob beefing.

Why did Taylor reccord and release This Love TV in advance?

I know Wildest Dreams had a tiktok trend centered around it in 2021 which is why she released its rerecording at that time, but do we know what the reason for This Love was?

Side note : This Love TV is so much better than the og version she really cooked with that one

My 1989 exhaustive ranking

I’ll preface this by saying for each song I took into account the reccording I like the most. For example I think This Love TV is miles better than the original version, which is why it’s higher on the ranking than it would’ve been if I had taken into account the original reccording. Anyway here’s the ranking :

  1. Style
  2. Blank Space
  3. Slut!
  4. Is It Over Now?
  5. Clean
  6. You Are In Love
  7. Wildest Dreams
  8. This Love
  9. Shake It Off
  10. Bad Blood
  11. I Wish You Would
  12. Out Of The Woods
  13. Say Don’t Go
  14. New Romantics
  15. Suburban Legends
  16. Now That We Don’t Talk
  17. Welcome To New York
  18. Wonderland
  19. All You Had To Do Was Stay
  20. I Know Places
  21. How You Get The Girl

Before you guys come at me, I know Shake It Off and Bad Blood aren’t Taylor’s finest work in terms of lyrics and music, but they’re just so iconic that I couldn’t put them any lower. Anyhow, if this were a tier list, I’d say 19-21 are songs that I dislike, 15-18 are songs that I don’t really care about, 9-14 are songs that I like, 6-8 are songs that I absolutely love, and 1-5 are some of my favorite Taylor songs ever.

Why do artists host snl so much time after releasing their album?

It’s common knowledge that hosting snl is a great way to promote your upcoming album, movie, or whatever project you’re trying to promote. Though I don’t watch it that often, I remember pretty well that Sabrina Carpenter hosted multiple months after releasing her Man’s Best Friend album and Charli XCX hosted over a month after releasing her Brat And It’s Compltely Differant But Also Still Brat album. So I’m just wondering, is this a pattern and if so, why, or were these two the exception and not the rule?
