how much can you get away with in total war warhammer 3 on normal difficulty?

im new and on my second campaign (technically third i did complete the prologue) and i apparently played the political game very well, because i confederated with someone and ended up with two maybe three times as much territory and a stack and a half worth of army. i went from 5k gold a turn to 2.5k gold a turn in a single diplomatic action.

conventional wisdom and everything i can find online says i should disband the armies or at least cut them down but.... i dont really want to. that just sounds boring.

i understand ultimately this is a game about making smart economic decisions, im not saying i should be able to do literally whatever i want, but i also want to have fun and i just got two new armies to play around and crusade with and optimal just doesent seem fun here.

i kind of want to see how far i can push it by making more armies and just seeing what happens.

full stacking armies at least to me just seems intuitive. i dont really know how else you would dominate the world if that was your victory goal without having tons of armies to lead.

i dont really understand why my build cant tank uber sirus meteor.

https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/HeyItsFrosty-5390/mirage/character/Mato_the_Static

this is my build AS it is, after failing another meteor test. with immortal call POB says i can tank it twice over.

with max roll crit, immortal call consuming 5 endurance charges and with fortify, which i can guarantee ill always have for meteor, POB says i tank it easily.

this thing still kills me, and ive confirmed by testing all morning that i do in fact have all endurance charges, and fortify, and that im not immortal calling early.

i just cant tank it and i dont understand why.

Hollow palm spirit walker huntress? Build based on Udyr from league of legends.

This is more of a thematic archetype idea than it is a weird interaction I thought of. But, for me when I very first saw the announcement for the new ascendancy my very first thought was to make a fist build with it cause it reminded me of a character from league of legends.

For those that DONT know, Udyr is a character who is attuned with 4 spirits, and he changes stances to use the power of one of them, and depending on which form he goes into he’s got massive single target, tankyness, massive AOE, or a speed boost.

So it’s not totally the same, huntress isn’t changing stances, but like… man idk this is a player fantasy I totally am just down for in POE, and was wondering if anyone had any skill ideas to run this with? And also what the minimum requirements are to swap to hollow palm? I don’t actually know what makes it scale.

Edit: https://youtu.be/kfyDoF658HA?si=rvv48p-ubrTcS5-s a teaser video showcasing what Udyr does for those that don’t know.

I only just realized the new atlas quest line is about how gods came to be.

Not sure if there’s many lore enjoyers here, but personally I always love games that take their worlds and stories seriously.

If you ever got into POE 1 lore, gods and how they got the ability to ascended to their status has always been a pretty major mystery.

I was so stunlocked by everything else announced I didn’t even realize the first edict “origins of divinity” is about literally this question.

Obviously the gameplay is the important part, but as someone with an interest in the lore too, this is probably one of the biggest lore patches either game has received… ever. Cause this isn’t just “we’re following the footsteps of someone who ascended.” I assume this is literally how ascending works and why it’s possible.
