Cube Agree C:62 EX - Size recommendation
Hello everyone,
I am currently considering getting a Cube Agree C:62 EX for road riding as an addition to my gravel bike, but I am unsure whether size 56, which is recommended by the Cube and other online size calculator, would fit me.
About me:
- Height: 178 cm
- Inseam: 85 cm
- Arm length: 58 cm
At a local dealer, I was able to test the Agree in size 53, which generally felt okay. However, the bike was set up with a 4 cm spacer stack. I think I would not really be able to ride the bike with much fewer spacers. I was also able to test a Cube Litening Aero C:68X in sizes 54 and 56, both of which also have a long reach and low stack, resulting in an even more aggressive riding position than the Agree in size 56 and my current gravel bike. Both also felt good, but I was only able to ride them briefly around the shop, which of course does not say much about how well the bikes would actually fit me.
Here is some additional information about my current bike, the bikes I tested, and the Agree in size 56, which is the one I am actually interested in:
Current gravel bike - Canyon Grizl 7 AL:
- Reach: 397 mm
- Stack: 556 mm
- Stem: 70 mm
- Spacers: 27.5 mm
- Current saddle-to-bar drop: 5-6 cm
Cube Agree C:62 in 53 / 56:
- Reach: 383 / 391 mm
- Stack: 543 / 572 mm
- Stem: 100 / 100 mm
- Spacers: 40 mm
Cube Litening Aero C:68X in 54 / 56:
- Reach: 389 / 398 mm
- Stack: 542 / 563 mm
- Stem: 100 / 100 mm
- Spacers: 40 mm
On longer rides with my Grizl, I sometimes have issues with my neck, which is why I would actually like to have a slightly higher stack, as on the Agree in size 56. However, the hand position would also be more than 2 cm farther forward than it is now due to the reach and stem length. It might be possible to counteract this with an 80 mm stem, although that could perhaps have a negative effect on the handling? I could also imagine riding with slightly more reach than I have now. With the Agree in size 56, I could also achieve a similar saddle-to-bar drop as I currently have, or reduce it to as little as 1 cm with all spacers installed.
Does anyone have a recommendation for me, or a similar height and experience with the Agree or with road bikes that have similar geometries?
Thanks!
