Genesis Model 1 or model 2?

I see a lot of people really love the model one

Is it built better?

What do you prefer model 1 or model 2?

Man..You guys have to make yourselves one of these!

I use it more than I thought I would.

I take it to work, or over to a friend's house just for a moment .I play on lunch at work and everybody comes around and wants to play it

all you need is a 12 volt battery pack and a dc/dc step down for the console and a USB c powered monitor. And the Apache war case of course. with the wireless controllers

I have the retrotink 2x pro and HD retrovision component cables as well.

Really proud of myself for this little idea.

You would expect something like this with a newer Playstation or Xbox but never for a SEGA GENESIS. 😎⛳

Ultimate mortal Kombat trilogy

Ultimate mortal Kombat trilogy on my portable system. Have the retrotink 2x pro and HD retrovision cables.

My power pack died during this match but you can see the quality on this cheap 14 inch portable monitor

Boy they don't make things like they used to, eh? 😄🥂

Anybody else being super careful with their Sega Genesis? Kind of cringing every time you put a cart in. Hearing the crackling and that satisfying thud of the cart when it snaps in (The crackling is the console settling as you push down.)

And then realizing oh yeah that's a quality build.

But it never goes away because you are conditioned to the build quality of today's things. if you heard some of those noises on a Playstation or Xbox, something was broken ⛓️‍💥

😆🤔

Please list your top 5 (or more) all-time favorite Genesis games.

The idea is :

other people will see your list and hopefully see games that they don't have or haven't heard of.

2008 Sony Bravia KDL-32XBR6 W/ Original remote. $35 Goodwill find

picked this up for 35 bucks at Goodwill with the intention of using it with my retro tink 2x pro and Sega Genesis model 2 collection.

It seems to be a really great TV. very good audio. Not tinny like newer TVs. It actually has bass and is really loud.

I know nothing about this TV. but I think I hit the jackpot for retro gaming. Next best thing to a CRT. Great colors. A massive amount of inputs. I even have the original remote with it.

Easy mod to block the crazy bright LED light on retro tink 2x pro.

I was thinking of taking it apart and vinyl wrapping the casing. Very carefully of course. Maybe cut out a little circle or slit in the vinyl for the light to shine through only a little bit. That should do the trick

Looking good 😊

Added HD retrovision cables and retrotink 2x pro.

Makes a world of difference with less input lag while playing mortal Kombat.

Any advice? any thing to tinker with? Is it plug and play?

Hey guys I got a retro tink 2x pro , HD retrovision cables and a Sega Genesis model 2. Before I hook anything up figured I'd ask if there's any pointers or is it plug and Play?

I have a little portable monitor and it's got game mode and it's an IPS screen and I can set it to 4:3.

How should I set everything?
